My question was trying to demonstrate that there's other, more suitable alternativesSupporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Good signing in my opinion, certainly doesn't need the money and contrary to belief he does have something to prove if he comes to us as he is the sort of character who will want to show he can make a success when playing for someone other than a top four side. Also need to remember he was selected for all United's most important games last year and is still a quality defender that others can learn a lot from.

Rio would be an unbelievable signing for us this season.
Please can people get this age thing out of their heads for ALL transfers.
It's not realistic or sometimes even possible to sign players to fit your ideal of young, hungry, sell on value etc etc believe it or not you do need to mix experience with youth & the most important fact of all for me is Rio is British & I've never ever as a football fan had a reason to doubt his commitment. Almost every big signing Mark Hughes made were foreign & for me not the right attitude. Harry is no fool, he needs to be judged in the PL where he got Spurs into the Champions League twice, no mean feat.
Rio is still a big player & you're telling me you'd of rather had Phil f##king Jagielka playing in the World Cup or Rio Ferdinand. No brainier for me. Everyone knows why he didn't feature as much last season for Man Utd, because Moyes didn't fancy him. That turned out well for him.
Rio is moving back to London so this is on the cards let's be sensible about this & not have a meltdown over age. Trust the manager to do what he does best in a league he knows best, Harry is not a championship manager & everyone knows it was a case of whatever it takes to get us up.
We won't have numerous aged signings I'm pretty sure that's been accepted but if we get this one we should be very grateful. Still has a lot to offer.

Fingers crossed!

played in all united's important matches,
top player,
good signing,
others can learn alot from him,
wernt people saying this about park a couple of years ago? look what happened there.
we have plenty of prem experience, hill, dunne, simpson, barton, ned, krankjar,
what we need is legs, fittness, youth, hunger, desire, and players who can recover quick from injury. NOT old cart horses who have nothing left to prove and are after one last farking payday.
cant believe some of the dross on this thread. "sign him up, he talks a good game on the tv" why not sign alan farking hanson and be done with it then.nsa/cia spy on this..............┌∩┐(◣_◢)┌∩┐
