Firstly, he didn't cost £9m. In fact £3.5m was touted when he signed.
Problem is his wages are very high, add a 5 year contract on very high wages and he will end up costing close to £9m over the full term of his contract.

As a result, I would be happy for him to leave, but with 3 full years left on his contract and the fact he's only 26 (ok 27 next month), suggests we deserve a fee.
I'd happily take £2m - Why should we give him away ? If there's a demand and he's willng to reduce his wages, someone will pay that.

i'd be happy if those numbers turn out to be right, but are you sure about them? if his total cost over 5 years would be £9m, then his wages across 5 years would be £5.5m or about £22k a week - that's quite low for us, even allowing for some of the exaggeration that some journalists make about who gets what.

I am afraid there is so much bias it's laughable, as you say no quotes etc, yet Tarrabt or another so called favorite has a similar story published on a weekly basis and it's all lies!!!!

                6million please.
                Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Are you accusing some people of showing bias when it comes to stories about Adel?

On Adel I think he has been messed about by Milan and disrespected and if they tried signing him now if I was him I would tell them to do one unless there is stuff going on were not aware of

Got to love this board. A few weeks ago when it looked like he was coming back, more than half the posters suddenly decided they loved him and he had been very misunderstood in his time over here and apparently he had been a great success only we had been too blind to notice. Now it is reported he wants to go and he is suddenly useless and much worse besides. And then posters wonder why the club doesn't follow their every whim in the transfer market. Deary me...

I would give him a chance next season.
Deserves another chance to see what he can offer.
Plus, with the amount of players out of contract now we are going to need a decent sized squad.

Got to love a petulance based system for judging a player's quality.
