If we name 4 strikers, don't waste one on an injury prone aging player.
If with go with 5, fine. Offer him 1 year on reduced terms or pay as you play.

Decision is then up to him.
If he declines, wanting 2 years or more money - wish him all the best.

can't use valuable squad places on players who can only play 20 minutes and will rarely score in the PL, if at all

really don't understand how any forward thinking R's fans can consider him

next season is going to be tough, let's make no bones about that and we need fit, resilient, durable players who do not have bad recent injury problems, to add to their ageing legs

My thoughts as well! He has been injured most of the time with us but when fit he was in on all 3 goals that lead to our lucrative promotion, you can't put a dollar figure on that! He is injury prone and aging but if there is room on the roster I think he might be worth keeping around as a sub, it's a roll of the dice but he might surprise, he linked up well with Charlie when they played together!
