    I know his cross made the goal but surely if Oxlade-Chamberlain is fit, he plays there. Definitely a better looking team if that happens-even more pace.

    Yep, only the last of the old guard let England down, I was very pleased with that performance, Baines, Gerrard and Rooney where the weak links, only Cole from the old lot would have got in now for me, well done England and Roy Hodgson, best England performance since Italy 90?

          Rooney is rubbish could not even take a corner drop him like a brick and when he shoots he is always off target not worth £300.00 grand a week pony player

            after Italy scored in the second half England just played in front of em -
            keeping on the pacey players on makes sense but someone like Lambert would have been more effective than Rooney at opening Italy up
            basically just about any decent well coached side can hold out a lead for half an hour these days - not like they were really troubled either
