good shout, some people only see what they want to

he got us up and that was the aim last season, end of

as previously stated, indirectly we can thank him for not going up in the top 2, otherwise we'd never have had the Wembley day.

he's brought through loads of players, as well as going for safe, experienced ones to get a mix of both.

Not quite sure what's so wrong with that?

Now that is REALLY stretching it! Thanks for finishing fourth instead of first or second Harry - you really knew what you were doing there mate! (Leicester and Burnley f*cked up big time!)

some people would rather we'd have failed to go up, so they'd have even more to go on about!!

And while you're at it check the forum rules, otherwise you wont last long around here.

Calling someone cluless or saying their reply is a joke is hardly a insult, just a judgement on a view I completely disagree with ie wanting to get rid of a manger who just got us promoted. Plus i've managed to last on here for 5 years cheers mate. playing the administrator card towards me because you agree with the other posters is a little sad. I'll always say what i'm thinking thats the point of this board and things will sometimes get heated but we are all men on here ffs.

As for WeareQPR12 maybe I give you more time then you deserve with your senile views. Im near on 30 with a 2 young kids not some little boy. I just dont forget the crap we been through pre fernandes era. So when a manager like Harry comes in and gets us promoted back to the prem I'm ****** grateful and find it hard to see fellow supporters give so much flack. Its not what I was brought up to think QPR fans were like and I get embarrassed by it as it stinks of the prawn sandwich man u brigade type of fan.

Stanley 76 will take your comments on board and will refrain a little more.

The stupid statements are from the fans slagging a manager off who got us promoted and banging on about all these over 30's he only signs or is going to sign because they believe everything in the papers. How do you think it comes across when some of our own fans dont back the guy who got us promoted.

                • And just for the record - Ha9, geng, weareqpr & hitman, I do think what your saying about Harry is rubbish and a joke and I'll happily voice that all day long. Doesn't mean other threads or comments you have made on this forumn that I dont respect or agree on because there are plenty I have seen by all of you over the years and recent that I do agree with.

obviously, there was a touch of sarcasm thee but everyone realised that, I'm sure.

the point I was trying to make is that it seems that whatever we do, win / lose, go up/ stay down, some people are never going to be happy.

yes, we did make it harder for ourselves and the football was pretty turgid for most of the season, but at the end of the day, going up was the aim and we did it.

to me, nothing else mattered last season

I'll reserve judgement on next season, when we played some games

too many people are unnecessarily critical. I understand and accept we all have an opinion and are entitled to it but some of the criticism of Harry is totally over the top.

HE IS THE 2ND MANAGER, OUT OF 22, THAT'S GOT US UP TO THE PL SINCE 1996

I don't think he's worthy of being criticised for achieving this IMO

Oh really? Where in my posts have you reached that conclusion? In fact I've disagreed with hal9thou on many occasions.

                        • opinions are something we're all entitled to and we don't have to agree with each other

we are in the same boat, all trying to achieve the same thing, aren't we?

I respect everyone's opinion but don't necessarily agree

Harry's goal and brief last season was promotion

HE DID IT AND FOR THAT I'M HAPPY

I'll hang fir and see what happens in the pl but he's earnt his chance in my book!

Yep, this. I spend most of my time on here calling out stupidity - like yours, in this instance - but that doesn't mean we can't agree on other things or that the people I argue with aren't Rangers fans. I don't mind people disagreeing at all so long as it leads to a half decent debate!

                              • For what it's worth, and I think this is a fairly important point, I think the fact the moaners are *still moaning even after a dream end to the season* demonstrates a fair bit of intellectual consistency. If you spent February, March and April moaning about how awful we are only to start saying "at the end of the day he done the job he was asked to do" you need to have a think about how you form your opinions.

I have the same analysis of Harry's ability as a manager and the job he's done with us now as I did in the 85th minute vs Derby, as I did ten mins after that, as I did before the play-offs began, as I did after that awful Charlton game, as I did after we put five past Forest, and so on.

That's because I've based my view on Harry on a whole bunch of things that have played out over a long period of time - how we performed across 38 games, relative to squad strength; how HR dealt with the bad attitudes in the dressing room; how we looked tactically and in terms of effort and teamwork; the effectiveness of his substitutions; the players he brought in, the ones he let go; his media spiel, good and bad.

I'd reached the conclusion he wasn't doing a great job a long time ago.

Why would winning one match suddenly invalidate all of the above?
