Dave no offence, but with regards to that Arsenal goal, which he had no chance with and was offside anyway, you are clutching at straws by blaming him.

As for Green, don't get me wrong, as per an earlier post I wouldn't drop him at all, but I just feel Cesar is getting unfair criticism so feel compelled to defend him as he didn't let QPR down like others so doesn't deserve to be tarred with the same brush IMO.

Also, agree with Stainrod, in that from the people that matter, I've only heard that Cesar is a complete professional and decent bloke who caused no issues in the group whatsoever, again unlike some others.

Ok i admit Del you have jogged my memory very well and i do remember grumbling at motd about the fact it was definitely offside....yeah you're right there. All i could remember initially was him jumping with the Arsenal player and not getting the ball but now i remember....apologies mate, my salad mist had descended!

Having read this thread what I would say is that there is not much between the two keepers and whoever is in goal would do a satisfactory job.

Cesar has his flaws as highlighted but then again lets not forget Green is just as prone to mistakes possibly even more so, recent example is him throwing the ball out at Wembley direct to a Derby player

What is clear is we cannot have two 50k keepers on the books even having one is over the top. If I had the choice I would retain Green and offload Cesar as Green conducted himself well after getting the hook by Hughes and played his part getting us back up so think he has earned the right to remain however if Cesar cannot be shifted on I think that means Green has to go unless he is happy to drop his salary substantially

Green is clearly a confidence player, not sure it will do him any good if Cesar comes back to the Club.

Since Green's out of contract, if we don't resign him it won't matter if Cesar comes back or not.....

Foreign keepers tend to punch the ball out a lot. They do learn though. If he's to stay with us he'll know what he needs to do, he had a whole year of prem experience.

I could never relax with him in goal to be honest. I would rather see Green given a chance than Cesar. Green proved himself this season to be a top keeper, and deserves a go.
Personally i think the club realise that we cannot afford 2 high earning keepers and will let Green go as Cesar has a long term contract.Hopefully Cesar has a blinding WC and generates a bid from a top club. Then Green can stay.

Gonna be purely down to trimming an unsustainable wage bill.

To all the Cesar lovers out there, just ask yourself... IF we go down this season (hope not) can anyone see salad playing in the Championship the year after???
                      I personally can`t,
Same wages as Green aparantley so can`t use that excuse.
You also won`t be able to use the "he`s too good for it" line, as he went and played for a 2 bob canadian side who I doubt are anywhere near as good as a champ side.
I`m not Greens biggest fan but I would be more than happy to take him if it were a case of one or the other.

Agree totally.......the bloke is a melt, on and off the pitch!

Cesar is a good keeper who played very well for us and always gave 100%. I can't understand why anybody would not want him back at the club. If Rob Green is here too then there will be competition for the starting job. If not then we will have only one keeper on much more money than anybody else would pay him.

i would get rid of both green and salad and bring in alex mcarthy.

will be saving over 100k per week and we will have a better keeper than the pair of them.

Cesar is probably a better keeper than Green but Green would probably have better communication with the defence.

At the end of the day the keeper and defence have to work as a unit

I personally think there are other areas that are more of a priority
