    Nearly wet myself laughing not!

We will see who is on goal come August and for the record not particularly a fan of Cesar but when it comes to green he is an accident waiting to happen as was the case both last year and in the early games in the prem, some people have short memories. Oh your quote re the great save video how many were in the clean sheet run you keep winging on about?

Oh and if a Green is such a great keeper, I believe he is currently a free agent, don't see that many flocking to sign, guess all these coaches/managers are clueless and you really see something they don't. Southampton looking for a manager why don't you apply with your player knowledge should be walk in the park.

Totally agree with you mate. In fact I cant recall any errors Green made from crosses.

In my honest opinion, this season would have done Green the world of good confidence-wise. Cesar is more likely to drop a clanger than Green based on Cesars performances in the season he played.

Agree with you 100% on 'building a winning team rather than bring back the errors'.

So far we've either been linked to or people have suggested bringing back some of the players from that disastrous season, and not 1 name mentioned would I consider. Its time to move forward with the team we've got and add to it with new faces.
          SIR LESLIE FERDINAND!!

Oh Ricky. If you present the old trope about keepers, Dracula and crosses, you'll probably laugh at anything. That was the point of my sally. Forgive me for whinging on about my team having beaten the club record for clean sheets. I'm grateful to all the players involved in that. Perhaps we played no one in goal those nine games? No. Wait. It would be a crying shame if those players who returned us to the PL were to be cast aside in favour of those contracted players who now wish to crawl from under their stone to steal all the premiership glory. Ginger makes a good point. Think Green misjudged a cross or corner at Derby away..... Heigh ho. I'd have him in goal everyday of the week rather than that short a ss, money mad, lacking loyalty, mercenary Brazillian.

Fair play, but at no point did the ball go past the the defence, hence it would've been a lottery had he come for it.

To be honest, I think he could've come, but also the defenders should have cleared so equally at fault if not more so.

If I were to become the Southampton manager, Ricky, how would I be able to come see the Rangers????? I'll tell my agent to turn them down when they come knocking having read your reference.

Love the way he's getting slated for mistakes made by other keepers now.

The Arsenal away game he was probably man of the match and kept the score at 1-0 if memory serves me right, when it could've been a stupid scoreline. Loads of their fans were calling for them to sign him after that.
No no no del it was julius at Arsenal...he jumped and managed to shrink his reach by 3 ft

Yep spot on 77....he can't handle high balls, .....not that i need to tell you. From what i can remember he was able to pull off worldly saves if the ball was a good height...(knee up to shoulder)
Anything else he seemed to parry or fumble, or watch!!!

As to the clean sheet run if you watched the games as you say you would have seen that Green made very few other than routine saves in that period, good defending and poor finishing was the reason.
That is total rubbish ricky.....we offloaded cesar because he was cr*p..You cannot seriously tell me Green was un-get rid-able but there would be plenty of takers for cesar......It took till jan to get rid
of him to a mickey mouse lege....no one.
One thing for the green bashers to think about .....we would've lost that wembley final with salad in goal...and i saw Rob claim plenty of crosses in that game

No one was willing to take Cesar on because of his huge wage, not that difficult to figure out.

Suspect we will see Green leave this summer and Julio return to crack on as our number one (from a business POV that makes complete sense).

At last a sensible post, exactly the reason, higher wages and considered a better keeper by the football world hence more likely to be taken by others. Green on the other hand is now a free agent yet no one seems to want him, strange that when he is such a quality keeper, but hey the FIFA players think green is better.
