  • Interesting news regarding Julio Cesar...

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0yxuMwxfmc

    Things to note:

1: What a woofter for crying after only 3 months there!

2: I think he's on his way back to LR, surely they wouldn't give him such a send off if he was coming back after the World Cup? I was under the assumption he was contracted until December!?!

I've personally got a lot of time for Cesar. He's a great pro who's won things everywhere and had many spectacular performances for QPR, yet gets slated on here by so many. Yes he had a few blips, but who hasn't? He also single handedly won us points in plenty of games, or prevented humiliation.

Just remember he didn't offer himself his contract.

My problem is he's not respecting himself. What a legend he used
      To be.
      Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
      And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

It was great having him a TFC, he played quite well, got himself match fit for the World Cup and obviously was a great mentor for the young Joe Bendik who has resumed #1 duties with Cesar's departure! If Rob Green isn't going to be re signed, I would be happy to see Cesar return to QPR, he is a quality keeper! The emotional stuff in the video was a tad creepy but I guess TFC are a tight knit group!

A tad creepy I believe that covers it.

I'll be crying if i see him in goal for us again. Too expensive, too many costly mistakes, and exactly the sort Rufus was talking about, on the way down

People talk like he was utterly useless for us but there were plenty of games he was superb, Chelsea home and away for example..! There were signings that were useless but its unfair to include him among them.

Also when he initially signed it was said he was on £50k same as Green, which isn't extreme in the world of prem wages, especially as on a free and such high profile.

He made a few errors, but no more the Green who's flavour of the month again. People have very selective memories on here.

If its a choice between Green and Cesar, it's Green for me. Green more than deserves his place!
                SIR LESLIE FERDINAND!!

Cesar is a far better keeper than green, been told by the club to report back for pre season and gets hard time in here and elsewhere by many who have no idea who the real problems were last year. Take some time and think about the good luck and well done messages after wembley. Can anyone remember seeing any from the fans favourites, Mackie? Who would have good excuse as Forest player, Taarabt, even Nelson who was meant to be the model pro?

Honestly think this guy is made a scapegoat by lots of QPR fans. He's miles better than Green and probably saved us from getting relegated a lot earlier than we did. Every keeper makes errors from time to time, cesar has made a few with us but only because nearly every opposition we played absolutely battered us, he is going to make a mistake eventually after saving about 1000 shots in the space of half an hour! He is a quality keeper imo.

He was bought by Hughes at the time we were buying all those mercenaries..yeah he may have come here for his last payday but unlike the others he actually gives 100% whenever called upon.

"When you went to the corner and saw our fans celebrating the way they were you just wanted to be part of it" - Shaun Derry after we beat the scum 1-0

Ceasar was the better goalie of the two in 2012/13 but I do feel Green deserves the first shot but I would not be concerned with Ceasar in goal.

Not sure why Cesar gets such a hard time, he has done nothing wrong. Green deserves another crack if he is offered a contract, but if Greeno leaves then will be more than happy with Cesar !

Green deserves his place no doubt, but I have a feeling Cesar is on his way back.

                            Green: Out of contract
Cesar: 2 years left and seemingly refusing to budge

Ability wise, Cesar is the better keeper but Green has been an integral part to our promotion and for that I hope he stays. But I'm not sure if it makes financial sense if we cant shift Cesar.

This is actually a top point and probably worth of a thread of its own. I have thought this myself having heard something said in an interview at Wembley but never bothered raising it

I think it was Green or Nedum who said in an interview that some of the older pros at the club never allowed the new signings to join in with anything and kept them in the shade. I think this is one of the reasons Mackie got the hook and think this was also a comment about Derry. Derry last season was very active on Talksport and did on occasions come across like its them and us which did raise concerns as he would have been one of the people the fans would put up as an example of what the club represented

Certainly not knocking Derry and Mackie etc but we have done alot of finger pointing about new signings being mercenaries but perhaps we needed to point the finger a little bit closer to home. Adel is not my favourite player but Derry used to nail him live on the radio at every opportunity he was given and as you say Ricky the absence of any congratulations from the likes of Mackie and Derry speaks volumes especially when it has came from Rambo and other former players
