Hmmm. £4 million for a 29 year old who will likely be 32-33+ at the end of a contract he'd sign and therefore have little or no sell on value... Sounds perfect for us....

Just seen a piece on this move by a Swansea fan on news now which has just made me wish even more we sign him. Muggy c***.
Daily mail reckon deal will cost 4 mill which I think is great business at that price.

Probably a little bit better than having Dunne or Hill at CB in the PL.....

At times,I think he is a bit clumpsy on the ball. But who wouldn´t when up against Suarez & Co?

Not every player we sign has to have resale value there is a balance to be met

I do hope that we develop a firm wages policy and stick to it, we can't afford in more ways than just financially to parachute high earners in to a squad that has finally seemed to gel and work for each other. I think I read somewhere that he is allegedly being offered very attractive terms to join and that concerns me.

I think we'd all love to sign Caulker just think a top 6 - 8 team will snap him up maybe even a top 4 but doubt that. Williams is a realistic signing, at a decent age with prem experience and seeing the swansea site most of them dont want him to go which is always a good sign.
On numerous times hes been picked out as a key man for them and a reason why they've stayed up.
I dont think there will be much of a resale value but if we got 3 or 4 years out of him for 4 mill I still personally think thats decent business. A back four of simpson ned william and maybe yun then we'd have 4 under 30 players and Ashley would be the one with the experience but still plenty to offer.

Caulker's going back to Tottenham - Cardiff can't meet the payments...(apparently)

Hope we pull this off. All about improving the quality in the squad and this is a good start

I agree but not at any price. It concerns me that media reports state that he will move for a "much higher salary".

It's probably mostly speculation though, as usual.
