Hope this is true! Would be happy with this chap who seems to have the right character and to play with Nedum. With Dunne and Hill as backup/part-time players I would feel we're all set at cb for next season.

Certainly better than Lescott that's for sure, and would accept less wages no doubt.

just a couple of seasons too late. we had a fee agreed for him when we first went up, then pulled out. Is certainly an improvement on what we have

This would be a great signing for us. Played in the prem last 3 years in a decent prem team who play good football. At 29 still a decent age too. Prob wont get a sell on value but could be at the club for the next 3/4 years comfortably.
Amazed if any one puts their nose up to a signing of this caliber. Ned and williams at the back would be fantastic. Maybe a younger signing from the championship aswell would complete a decent back four.

I wonder how confident the sun are by writing phrases such as 'snapping up'! Could leave a journo very red faced

Na wouldn't be red faced. Its all part of a journalists job to talk $hit and getting the public talking and buying papers.
                  SIR LESLIE FERDINAND!!

There's a reason they haven't put a journo's name on the article, it just say's SUN REPORTER under who wrote it....

Be very happy to sign him.

Cheaper salary than Lescott and Rio as well.

Ashley Williams likely to Join QPR in a £4m deal, according to NewsNowQPR/Daily Mail tonight.Williams has only 1 year left on his contract and Swansea would rather let him go now rather than he leave on a freebie next year.Sounds promising if true.

I don't think it is premature because with Williams you know exactly what you'll get from him every week. No doubt the fans would love him at QPR because he's that much of a pro

Great news DailyMail have reported this now, gathering momentum, better then The Sun
                                Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                                And many more mistakes
