Agree if the bloke is on 80k a week that works out at just 7.8m on a 3 year contract and Rhodes would cost over 10m and has never played premier league football.

However I do tend to favour the british route and after hearing an interview with the lad, he sounds like a very level headed sensible young man.

Tbf both would probaly be as bigger risk as each other. One coming up from the championship and the other from the french prem which when you get past the top 6 prob isnt to different from the championship.

you're probably correct....not just us though I suspect, agents playing one club off against another across the board to benefit themselves and of course their client.

Agree with norths, think they have splurged out on gomis to soften the blow of losing bony. I aint to bothered about gomis tbf think a little to risky for us right now on such high wages. He could be class but vould also flop would like to get at least one striker who knows his way around the prem and if we are going to gamble on another striker ie from the championship at least we dont spend 7 mill on wages plus a fee.
