Note this article indicates that Remy will possibly go for 12 million which is not the 8 million release fee being quoted by some.

Not being to downbeat, but we have to be careful with the wages we pay this season, as if we go back down we will then be in the same situation we were in last season with a large wage bill against a a lot less income, and facing another big loss. It is already being talked about being fined for last season's losses in the Championship, we really could do without adding to it. but the flip side is you could bring about your relegation, by not spending to increase your chances of staying up.

if he really wants 100k then we must look elsewhere. With 100k we can pay wages of 3-4 good players who's not being here just because of £££

Hopefully the club are not as daft as to pay him 100k a week.

This year Id prefer to take a punt on the like of rhodes than a gomis. Bring in someone with something to prove and someone's attitude you wouldn't have to question.

Exactly. Probably get Rhodes for 30k a week too.

Transfer fee and wages for Rhodes would probably work out the same as what Gomis would be paid over the course of a contract

Agree if the bloke is on 80k a week that works out at just 7.8m on a 3 year contract and Rhodes would cost over 10m and has never played premier league football.

However I do tend to favour the british route and after hearing an interview with the lad, he sounds like a very level headed sensible young man.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

....all paper talk to fill their columns. Williams was apparently having a medical at qpr, so don't believe anything these rags have to say. Not worth speculating. It's true when on the offy.

Agent probably using us to get a better deal else where. I feel this will be a trend this summer
