Wayne Rooney is much too important to do anything the manager says. He will win the World Cup single handedly for England without any advice from the manager. I don't know why the other ten players even bother to show up when we have the great Wayne Looney.
'Only a Ranger!' cried Gandalf. 'My dear Frodo, that is just what the Rangers are: the last remnant in the South of the great people, the Men of West London.' - Lord of the Rings, Book II, Chapter I - Many Meetings.

Rugby has way too much respect for this haka bo***cks.

Expected to just stand there in respectful silence and do an 'intimidating' war dance at you. Other team should just run back and start warming up and let them do it to no-one.

Either that or play the video of the 70's Kiwi team doing the haka, and have the stadium dissolve in giggles..

Don't usually agree with a lot of your views mate, generally a tad left wing from my POV, but this I definitely do. You been on the sauce today?

Nah, just don't have a lot of time for rugby. The actual game is fine, and have been thoroughly entertained by a few, and tbh nothing is better than hearing a packed stadium absolutely belt out 'Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau'

Rugby would be fine if it wasn't for the thug players and the insufferable fans. So insecure in their own sport that they constantly, and I do mean constantly have to belittle football and footballers to convince themselves that rugby is the best thing ever.

You don't get that from any other sports fans, that desperate need to have to define themselves by how much 'better' their sport is than 'kissball'.

My brother-in-law calls it that, and he's not the only one.

Kissball. Because all footballer's are *** and nancy boys compared to proper men like rugby players.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Let's all get drunk, get naked and shove bits of flaming paper up each other arses and sing a load of **** songs about how much we hate women.....

Agree they do get up to some weird sh1t which does seem to always end up naked & drinking pints of sick or similar. Maybe the public schoolboy thing has never really gone away even in the age of professionalism. Only really watch the 6 nations or England games. Can't get into club rugby.

What is this fans obsession with singing the Anthem , doesn't mean your less passionate about playing for your country if you dont sing, don't mean your a world beater if you blast it out either. Let the fans sing it , let the players focus on the job ahead

                            Nailed it.

It's a distraction. I'd prefer them to be full of focus at that point, than worrying about having to mouth the words to an anthem in case a tabloid decides to whip up the masses.

If singing it gets them pumped up, that's awesome, if they'd prefer to just use the anthem time to get themselves mentally ready in the last few minutes before kick off, that's great too.

It's not hard though is it?.....Not like we need to give them hymn sheets to learn the words is it?...That Steve Black fella would prob approve if it (as it should) bring a unity and desire to the team to do well
rather than fall flat on their a**es like they traditionally do

Not hard no, but it shouldn't be mandatory either, if they're being made to do it, it devalues the gesture. Don't see how having those who don't want to sing mumbling along resentfully will help the team spirit.

I never sing it, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't play my heart out for the national team.
