Just had a look at our goals last season and whilst hoilett has been widely criticised on this forum - he played a huge part in setting up many of our crucial goals - I think he is a confidence player and under Harry's leadership could step up even more next season

4 goals 4 assists...he assisted the opposition more than anything.
Thats his stats but also from watching him his delivery is shocking and he gives the ball away to often in good positions. Was critised alot during the season becaus ehis performances were to be frank awful and cost a lot of goals. A lot of people on here seem to have short memories so going back to wigan and wembley.
To me there is no argument or proof to say he had a good season this year. Anyone who's watched him live and can say he creates goals or doesnt lose the ball in good postions I would say is LIAR.
The lads got ability but shown far to little and how much time do we have to give a pro footballer to learn to pick his head up and pass a ball. Quick and direct but no end product and one of a few reasons why we didnt score enough last year.

Watching back the highlights from the first day of the season (Shef Wed), he looked brilliant! Was really excited about him this season. But has failed massively for his ability. He had a shocker v Burnley at home, but popped up with a last minute assist. And the same could be said about Wigan at home (play offs) and Wembley.

I thought he was poor at wembley personally - especially first half. Just ran to nowhere and not once put a decent ball in. In the end the fact that he just runs to the corners actually worked in the second the half as it took pressure of us occasionally. But will always be thankful for that one good moment in the 90th minute.

The thing with Hoilett is 1 week I'm praising him, then the next 4/5 weeks I'm slating him. BUT for some reason I really want him to stay. I think its mainly down to the 'potential'. If not that then IMO he can still be a very useful substitute even at prem level.SIR LESLIE FERDINAND!!

His best performances seemed to come of the bench in all fairness. Very frustrating player and sometimes hard to judge as he does have his moments where he does the odd tihng that sticks in your memory but they are just moments in a long list of poor moments.

When he plays now he just worries me with his indecisive nature and if he doesn't sort it out we could be punished heavily next year.

I'm far from a fan of his but he was responsible for 2 of our 3 goals in play off promotion! Maybe Harry can get more from him, he is using him on the right more, I think everyone and their granny knew Hoilett's pull back move down the left, the opposition just sat back and waited for it!@gatorTFC
