  • FIFA Corruption

I know I created a FIFA Corruption thread a while back but I can't find it.

    Another article:
Whether it's the heat in the summer, the treatment of migrant labourers or allegations of corruption in the bidding process, Qatar has been under siege from critics who say it should never have been chosen to host the tournament in the first place.

But the Sunday Times leak is potentially the most significant development so far.

Over the course of the next month the newspaper is promising to publish a huge tranche of secret emails and documents which, it says, is proof that Qatar broke Fifa's rules on its way to that extraordinary victory.

The latest allegations to hit the Qatar World Cup could prove the turning point, says BBC sports editor David Bond.
'Only a Ranger!' cried Gandalf. 'My dear Frodo, that is just what the Rangers are: the last remnant in the South of the great people, the Men of West London.' - Lord of the Rings, Book II, Chapter I - Many Meetings.

As a fellow Korean, we experienced this(though the scale of corruption wasn't as big as the current case), and we learnt to take the blame for improvement.

in the followin worldcup, 2006 in Germany, Switzerland was in the same group with South Korea, they clearly did the same thing that South Korea might have done in the past world cup being the host.

Under Joseph Sepp Blatter' silent control, Swiss was programmed to win the group stage as they cheated against Korea.

But that being said, South Korea got what they deserved. what we might have done came back like a boomerang.

In 2010, South Korea got the fair play award proving that South Korea is no longer a football minority presenting corruption for a victory.

Nobody has ever played fair and square like South Korea did in 2010 World Cup, we have changed.

Finally having the right to criticise others of being corrupt, I would like to say that Joseph Sepp Blatter needs to step down and his place needs to be filled by someone who is trustworthy.

They're in the talk of deciding who the next host is to replace Qatar.

South Korea was in the second place while competing for the host place with Qatar, Japan, Australia, and the US.

Even though I love my country so much and am proud of being Korean, I won't accept South Korea to take that place.

It's simply not fair for a country to do it twice in just 20 years time whilst no-body hasn't achieved it.

I would say, Oceania (the Pacific Region side) needs a go this time.

      I am rooting for Australia.

They have the potential to make football popular in their own league.

      Relatively safe place.

      Weather's not bad.

No problem with the people, backed up by enough amount of finance.

Australia to be the next host in 2022.

All I ask for is an honest vote. We certainly didn't get that last time!
