If they have been addressing it for 12 months, who is to say they have not made an offer - you don't "negotiate" for 12 months and get nowhere unless one or other party is not playing ball.
The Commercial team is exactly that and I'm sure they know everything has a value so I would be surprised if they have not been making proposals.
As has been mentioned above, the other party doesn't and never has had the Club's best interests at heart.
For some people, their own egos are far more important than anything else, so I know where I stand on this one

If it was @QPRFC maybe, but are the initials QPR specific just to us?

Without knowing the details it's hard to judge who's more deserving of support on this specific issue.

Just because QPR Report is a bit of an a*** doesn't mean he's not potentially being stitched up here.

If he had a separate business with the initials QPR then it would be different. He uses the account for QPRFC related news. What reason does he have for keeping it? besides ego or looking for financial gain.

Ego is irrelevant. If he's making money from that twitter account by pretending to be an official QPR twitter account, that's out of order.

If QPR want the twitter account, I don't think they should be allowed to just take it, simply because they want it. I don't think outing his stubbornness publicly is very professional either and smacks of spitefulness tbf.

Generally I would agree, but in this instance it is almost certainly a major factor, IMHO of course

Not very professional, which is a shame as the media team has been excellent for the most part.
So basically if registered @Nikekit or @Nikeshoes (or even @Nike if it was available) and started tweeting about Nike sportswear it would be ok and Nike would have to pay me to get the name back? Think you're missing the point mate...

Thanks, had no idea about that. So that's 3.

So the @QPR account isn't pretending to be the official one, it's stated in the profile? Was that always the case?

If he wasn't pretending to be official, and wasn't profiting from using the name, why not? How many of us have QPR somewhere in a Twitter (or similar) name. I certainly do.

He was quickest off the mark to get the name registered.

Regardless of the legal positions on use of names, the club (or at least the media team) have done the wrong thing here.

Sorry. QPR Report had that site and that Twitter handle long before the Club wanted it and the handle doesn't have any copyright or IP attached to it. Cannot even be construed as "passing off" as it is very clear for even the untrained (Malaysian) eye that it is completely unofficial and a fan site.

In what world do the Club have the right to march in and demand to take the name without any (report) form of recourse?

QPR Report is an excellent site - well worth reading - I back them all the way in this fight. Bullying by any other name.

Is Mike/QPRReport really not a QPR fan, as people here seem to be suggesting?

How can someone who devotes so much time to QPR - running 2 QPR websites and 3 QPR twitter accounts, NOT be a QPR fan?

                              Anyone care to enlighten me?

Back them, fine - but like the rest of us, how do you know the Club have "demanded to take the name without any recourse".
"Bullying by any other name" comes under the same heading as "speculating without knowledge of the facts" in the name of supporting your cause, in my book.
As I said in an earlier post, this has had legs for about 12 months and I think it is unrealistic to just suggest there has been no element of mediation and/or proposal made by the Club in that time.
