This thread http://qprreport.proboards.com/threa...porter-twitter is a perfect example of QPRReport at his best. Starts a thread with a few comments/digs/insinuations and then once he's got a bite he backs away and lets everyone else talk....
From a purely dispassionate point of view, if I had something that was of value to a commercial outfit, I'd expect to be paid for it, especially when they'll be using it for advertising purposes.

Spot on Lunar!
Report does not (& never has had) the interests of the club at heart.
Fair enough if he wants to sell the tag but get on with it! I would have thought that the club could get legal under copyright law anyway.

There are tons of people that brought up domain names and registered twitter/facebook and other accounts under major brand names so they could sell them back to them. QPR have been slow, lost their chance at @QPR. If they want it they need to buy it or reach an agreement.
If, however, Report was using the name to make profit that would be different. So if I set up a soundcloud account under the name Carl Cox before he did & linked to a site selling my mixes - I could get done as I am using his name to make money.
Do QPR fand really find it hard to find which account to follow. Do me a favour.
Having said that I would not take money from the club if I was willing to go along with them.
Maybe not if you're an English speaking QPR fan who has no problems understanding the word "official". Or you know that to find the Official QPR twitter feed around the world you have to put the word "Official" in front of it....
He's @QPRReport so why not post all the stuff he's posting on @QPR there? There doesn't seem to be any logic to what is posted where on his Twitter handles either....
Also, he seems to have started using @QPR on a daily basis around the beginning of April. Any particular reason for that I wonder.....
Before that it's sporadically used.... 6 tweets in March, None in February or January, once in December, none in November, 3 times in October, none in September, a little flurry of 9 in August and so on....
I remember when twitter first started you'd search the hashtag QPR and you'd only get information on ***** Public Radio, nothing about Queens park Rangers. Now look, we've got club and fan fighting over the twitter name QPR. :sigh:
Pretty much the same when the internet came into popular use, big brands would buy or sue people who'd registered their domains. Think the club should pay him or move on, @OfficialQPR is a pretty decent handle anyway

NOt really the point thought is it. He registered the name, it's his to use as he wishes. If the club want it it, they should be willing to offer him a fair price, rather than doing what they've done, which is effectively point the internet (at least the QPR fans) at him and said that he's working against the club's best interest. Not very professional, which is a shame as the media team has been excellent for the most part.
Would be alot easier for people to find us on twitter if it was just @QPR as opposed to @OfficialQPR.
They have prob asked twitter to look at the traffic to @QPR and @OfficialQPR and the unofficial one probably get more hits/traffic then the official one as its the first thing and unknowing person would look for
I understand why they want the handle as if people look for it and see something unofficial its not very professional especially if he is talking a load of balls as some will not get its an unofficial account and not bother coming back
Report used to post on here did he not some years ago and was a bit of an a rse if memory serves me right always just up for the row and constantly negative
