Where was Hooper when we had no Striker over Xmas? Where was he when we fell out the Auto-Promos when Chas got injured between January and April? Where was he when he was needed? Elsewhere getting relegated.
He aint needed now, we need Prem class not pretenders.
Hopefully we won't be going for the crock option ie AJ, BZ even though BZ has looked decent since he has been fit. Maybe could have got away with carrying one injury prone striker but not 2.
Johnson is a good player but he has to go. I would keep ohhh bobby zamora
If he wasn't so injury prone I reckon he'd have given Austin good competition for the main striker role last season. Natural finisher and hasn't lost his legs yet. However he is injury prone... gets injured, comes back, 5 minutes later he's down and is out again for about 3 years.

"When you went to the corner and saw our fans celebrating the way they were you just wanted to be part of it" - Shaun Derry after we beat the scum 1-0
Arrys tactics will determine what type of striker we buy for the coming season.
When we criticised him for only playing one up top he was quoted"what top teams play with two out and out strikers"
Can anyone see Charlie worrying premiership defences with the service he got last year..cos I can't.
If we were to go two up front then we need a striker with pace and eye for goal to complement Charlie's unselfish target man role..a Remmy type.
Hooper looks to bulky and more of a six yard poacher.
The big lump at Watford looks a better bet for me.

I disagree with the hooper comment mate perosnally as think hes the perfect type of player to play of austin as is very quick and good in the box. But also agree with a lot what you said about 1 up top and austin not getting the service he needs. This is whjy I keep debating with people over the likes of hoilett who just doesn't produce nothing. If we dont rectify our creativity problem on the wings and in cm what the point of adding more fire power with out the service they need.
I'd have Hooper in a heartbeat. Very good striker imo. Seen him called a mercenary on other boards and on facebook and twitter...how? He signed for Norwich for less than what we were offering him. Sounds like someone who wants to prove himself in the Premier League to me.

He's produced a couple of reasonably important bits during the last couple of games in fairness.

He has shown signs of improvement and an increase in fitness however the cross at Wembley actaully done what 99% of all his other crosses do which is hit the first man!!! thankfully Keogh miscontrolled it or it would have ended up like the majority of his other crosses cleared out of the danger zone

But I will take it
Oh, I agree. But he battled really well to be able to mis hit it.
Can't remember who it was against now, but sure he did a very similar thing late on during a home game which led to a goal.

He was at Norwich! They were not looking to sell him andf QPR did not bid for him.
As for opting to join Nowich ahead of QPR, most sane players would have done the same thing.
If he was available for around £4m he would be worth a bid, as if Remy goes, QPR will need someone who has played at Premiership level rather than gamble on the likes of Deeney McCormack or Rhodes (although I think the latter looks like a natural goalscorer who can probably score at Premiersip level too), but he will cost around £9M and is still a gamble.
Hooper scored 6 Premiership goals for a struggling negative side. Not great, but in a more attacking side perhaps could score 10-12, if not more. Also, his wages wont be high.
