In terms of going forward, Johnson is levels above simpson...... Anyways, Johnson wont be signing for us, he is looking forward to a world cup and champions league next season
Clint Hill stationary with his arm up looking for offside while his player strolls past him into the 6 yard box for a tap in was at fault.

i think johnson is a shite defender but a very good winger! simpson is a good defender but a shite winger! as we are talking about a right back and the main duty of said right back is to defend , i think simpson pisses all over johnson in that department!LONDON CALLING TO THE ZOMBIES OF DEATH.... ALSO KNOW AS BRENTFORD FANS

Johnson terrifies me when he plays for England. Always looks likely to make a rick. As you said much more comfortable going forward.

As said by a few rb is not a position we need to worry about. We have a premier quality player in that position already. Simpson is more than capable and can't believe people are questioning this.
We can't replace or bring in players for every position and surly cb, cm, lw, rw, and st postions are our priorities. Players like green, Simpson, Onohua, Barton, phillips, Charlie can all make the step up and should be first 11. We need to find players to compliment them.

So you could argue that all 4 defenders were at fault. Simpson started it though.Top Scorers 2018/2019

The only person anyone should catagorically blame for that goal is Hill, yet some can't hear a negative word about him. The fact is, ALL HE HAD TO DO was mark and contain his player, which he didn't. He pointlessly stood with an arm up trying to get an offside that wasnt even close and took his eye off his man who easilly got in front of him in our 6 yard box for a tap in. That was shocking.
To suggest it's Simpson's fault, or Onouha's or anyone else's other than Hill is ludicrous. Yes they could have done things differently, which could've caused other risks, but he could've and should've prevented the goal.Last edited by Del; 02-06-2014, 11:36 AM.

Blimey, with that logic you could take any goal back to the first person who lost a ball. Similiar with the partial blame labelled at Onouha harshly because he didnt get close enough to McClean before he crossed, but the fact McClean cross instantly meant he couldn't. The only alternative would've been to initially follow him into that area, and if he did he'd have left a gaping chasm for any midfielders to run into in the heart of our defence. It's about playing percentages and minimising risk as it's seen.

Players will make mistakes its only human. Austin missed a few he should of scored but we aint all on here saying he needs replacing. Its ridiculous to see people holding on to one off mistakes as a reason to replace someone. Look back at the season and simpson has been consistent along with 5 or 6 others we can depend on.
We need to keep some cohesion next year and danny also one of our younger players.

For what it's worth, Dunne was doing his job properly marking McManaman near the front post.
Perhaps we'll just agree you need to watch the goal again.

That doesnt take away the fact that Simpson should have put Beusejour under some sort of pressure.Top Scorers 2018/2019
