  • Lucky escape with M'Villa

Harry clearly wanted him last summer. I have heard that he is not that happy at Rubin Kazan in Russia. he is a very clever and versatile player,IMO.

    Opinions?

A simple no thank you, as others have said a mercenary and we've had enough mercenaries to start world war 3

                Very good player.

If you was offered a job say in Dubai for 100k a year, would you stay in England for 30k a year? Being a footballer is a job to these people like you and I have to work, I know I would always go who was offereing me the most money in any career choice I make. Don't forget these players stop playing in their mid/late thirties so why wouldn't you spend a year chasing the money to better your life?

There are plenty of players around the world that we could get and who would be easily good enough.

We really shouldn't keep looking at the same old names that can't hack it elsewhere.

Would like to see a few that nobody has heard of. On less money and would fit into the squad a lot better, as not lugging around their egos.

Plenty around, just look at Swansea with signings like Michu. As a club or does our managment team have the skills to go and pick them out though? I would love us to be able to pick up some gems from abroad or even down the football pyramid in this country instead of being linked to the same old has beens and ridiculously priced English players.

I have no problems picking up a few quality players from abroad but I still think it is very important to keep the core of our team british/english.

Players also tend to need time to adapt to the pace of the premier league I mean look at Soldado looks like he only took up playing the game yesterday and for me it is just a gamble not worth taking from what is very much a poor standard of scouting at our football club
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Nope. Is currently trying to force his way out of a move he clearly did for money. Exactly the type of character we are trying to avoid.

Bring him in if possible. I remember being very impressed with him (CV+youtube) when he was first linked to QPR. He is very young at 23 and seems to be hungry for more. Furthermore he already has 22 caps for France national team. I don't care if he only does it for the money (wtf is wrong with that?) or if he just want to use us as a stepping stone. More young players for the future is what we need. His previous price tag at 9,6 M £ seems a bit too high for us though.

Should be looking at countries like Holland who have always produced good technical players as coaching at is very good from a young age, and Belgium who are clearly doing something right as developing an incredible batch of quality players recently.
