Agreed. Might Aswell play Hoilett RB to improve his defending while we're at it

there was a rumour a couple of weeks back that Lescott was wating to see if we were promoted. He would be a great addition as well as Richards.

Would be a decent buy but would like us to go after a younger CB as well - someone like Michael Keane.

Caulker is the one to get, but if not lescott is miles better than what we have and bring left footed would fit well with Ned. Ferdinand would also bad decent as long as wages aren't silly and we accept he will only about half the games it's a squad game now.

                Mirror saying

Newly-promoted QPR are leading the chase for Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott, 31, after he failed to agree terms with West Ham.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Would be fantastic if so. Although can't imagine he would be on a measly wage.

true but I think him and Nedum at centre half won't be a defense struggling in a relegation battle. We need to go young championship player, but we do need 2 or 3 signings like this.

He is ludicrously overrated and overpaid. My concern is we would pay loads to get him and he really isn't that great. Prone to loads of clangers an very uncomfortable in possession.

                        You think like i do.

Would be a great signing at sensible wages, along with say Lampard, and the money from Remy spent on McCormack and Rhodes.

If he can't agree terms with West Ham then he shouldn't be able to agree them with us either

1 or two big signings with the experience of lescott is fine and needed imo. Much better option than rio. The lad is a quality cb for a club like us. Just because lescott might get 50 or 60 a week doesnt mean like last time we then have to go and pay everyone else we sign the same.

Defensively we im we are pretty set one or two players here and we are done.

Upfront and midfield need alot of work with injection of young legs, creativity and pace. This is where we need focus on younger players.#

As being linked to doyle for a million pounds we have to hope this rubbish.

An Onuoha/Lescott partnership would be pretty solid IMO.
40k pw and he'll be 32 in August...possibly, if true. But I'd like to know why he allegedly couldn't agree terms with West Ham.
