However, I do wonder why QPR do put the prices so high, considering our gate return compared to other incomes/outgoing is minimal on all proportions.
If the average cost of a season ticket is £630 (from bronze upwards)
if we sell 10k season tickets: £6.3m in revenue
If we reduce the cost of the average season ticket to a real low £450 (so bonze at like £350 and gold at £550)
if we sell 10k season tickets: £4.5m in revenue

Loss of £1.8m in revenue by reducing the average price by £180 per person.

but simply with Sun Ji retiring at £50k a week? 50k x 52 is £2.6m in saved revenue.

My point is the club make hardly any money on season ticket sales - so there is no point in trying to squeeze out the most revenue possible out of the fans. The gains are minimal. so why bother upping it? it's a drop in the ocean what we get at the gate.

I view the maths behind the ST price rises in the same way. Just to add as well I think Derby announced their ST prices before the Play Offs which I think were frozen. Our fans just seem to accept this now which is a shame

When put like that it makes sense to us prols for them to be at a lower figure.its only going to increase revenue one way or the other on matchday in food, merchandise etc. but the powers that be ain't like us,no matter what they tweet or how they celebrate our promotion.they are essentially involved for the pound note.

      • I for one have had enough and wont be paying those prices, lets not forget this season the football has been ****. How much is it gonna change in the prem for less games and more dough. Been there done that, too many at our club happy to be shafted over and over again. The blokes in charge of our club aint our mates or our ****ing uncle there business men who got that figure out of us once before so will try there luck again. Sadly nothing will change until people start voting with their feet, pay this price now they will never go down they will just keep rising. Maybe we should change our chant to 'Whatever the season we'll pay the increase, were queens park rangers we love to be fleeced!'

                • Where the prices considered to much last time we were in the prem? I can't remember there being any fallout two years ago so genuine question

Yes ,that is why Flab and co got coated so much ,TF reduced platinum by £50 and got a £3 voucher to spend at the pie kiosk
Football played the Charlie Ferris way

Was just glad to get to the promised land after such a long time in the wilderness. Think getting battered every week has taken the gloss off just being in the prem. Great getting there but need to stay there and consolidate.

Would you rather the owners left and we played non league? Ultimately if the majority think like you and stay away the board might think "sod this if the fans aren't bothering why should we". It's been said before but do you think the club can improve financially on 18k gates with fans paying peanuts to watch premiership football?

It would be good if ST's were under £500 and I get the argument above that the additional couple of million is neither here nor there, but don't you think proportioniately TF is losing alot more than we are in what we spend at Rangers?

Terrible PR, its amazing how many on here accept this from the club

At present we are looking at playing dire defensive football in the worst ever QPR kit whilst being charged extortionate prices (again) to watch it.

My dad isn't going to renew , I'm mostly gonna follow. The Play Off final was the pinnacle of our achievements, gonna pick and choose my matches now I think. I can afford the ST no problem but for me its about value for money and I don't believe Rangers offer it.
The playoff final was worth last years season ticket and this years.

Football hasn't been value for money for years I guess the tipping point is different for everyone.

I'll be giving it another go that's for sure.

Could be the booze and the Dubai sun talking though.

                          • going to games with all your mates have long gone ,but in the Prem you can go to the pub to watch with most of your friends and becomes more of a social occaision again ,can see the attraction of not getting a ST

But the price is the same price from last time we were in the prem and I don't recall anyone being upset so don't get it now

                              • Bottom line is, if you arent happy with the prices, dont buy one. Simples.
Im sure if theres a drop in ST sales, the board would notice and take action accordingly next season.
