Mercenaries
Mercenary is a word I often see here. I don't understand why it is so bad to be a mercenary. In a way we all are mercenaries working for money, to provide for our families and ourselves. The level of passion differs, it may be high or low from the start, and may increase if the work environment is good and it may decrease when things good bad.
I assume the bad mercenaries are those who doesn't perform up to expectation on and off the pitch. But who are we to judge them when we don't know mcuh, we don't know the expectation each and everyone of them has pre-season and pre-match? We know far from everything yet a player can go from player of the season to become a "mercenary". It seems to be unfair.
So can someone please explain to me why some of our players are mercenaries and why we should be so concerned about it.
