Releasing him is the right thing to do. He's on a massive wage and let's be fair, been terrible apart from the last month or so. He'll always have a big place in the heart of Rangers fans after Saturday but he's not the answer for next season.

As has been said elsewhere, if we limit ourselves to one year deals on reasonable wages for these older players, it can still work for us, but it will be hard to get the best out of somebody whose wage packet has just been cut by about two thirds. Best for all parties if BZ moves on now.'Only a Ranger!' cried Gandalf. Originally posted by qprted View Posterm i would keep him on a pay as he plays contract for one year personally i would not release him
he won't play every week, but can still nick a few goals
if he's not kept, it won't be the end of the world
his winner will forever be remembered whatever happens

Atm sentiments and emotions are running high so can understand why people are sticking up for zamora and hoilett but at the end of the day we need to put that aside sentiment for the long term future of the club.
If they let Zamora go to me that actually shows the club have the balls to make the right & tough decisions this time.Last edited by maidstone_hoop; 28-05-2014, 11:06 AM.

Beard said a number of the lads that are out of contract will be rewarded. If BZ does leave, then I would imagine he'll get a decent bonus if only for scoring that goal!
Personally think it would be the right move to let him go. Can an impact sub in the Championship really continue to do the same in the PL?
