Excellent news that we apparently have no chance, quite disappointing that we are so thick as to even be thinking about it after what happened last time.

He also said we had "no chance" of getting BAE and Yossi, so who knows.

Lampard would be excellent, Rio probably too injury prone.

Last time round, the problems werent even that age related. Cesar and Nelson, both did pretty well considering. The issue was with the length of the contracts given. I'd have no problem with Lampard or Rio being given 12 month contracts as long as they can last the season without getting injured all the time.

That's a very good point about the length of the contracts.

Decent post........Agree with all of it apart from the bit about Cesar doing well. Punch happy, bottle job in my opinion!

He did anything but rule them out. To me that read as he'd love them but thinks they are too good and will be in demand, but I bet he's mentioned their names to Tony.

He's being usual harry and saying no chance so it can be seen as a coup for the club IF they pull it off. Again as long as they were on sensible deals no longer than 1 year cant see any reason not to go for it - its the like of parker and j cole i dont want.
