I just don't think he's very good....and yes i know it sounds ridiculous as he is Brazil no1 but mistakes were too many, and cost us dear.
Anyway as Matty says we've finally got a team that is together as Clint says in a vid on offish lets do it properly this time

Will be well disappointed if we lose Greeno and welcome back that MERCENARY

        Innit.

The hatred on here for Cesar is baffling. He's a better keeper than Green, too.

Expect all the "Greeno" fans on here to suddenly turn on the guy once he makes a few mistakes that he'd have got away with this season but PL strikers will punish him for.

There's a strong argument for keeping Green in terms of team spirit etc. But that doesn't mean he's remotely worth whatever silly salary we had to offer to tempt him away from West Ham.

          LOL

A great example of a mindless sheep.

Robert Green got West Ham promoted in the playoffs in 2012. Exact same situation as us now.

He then ditches his team for QPR, a smaller club who had barely survived relegation but were willing to pay him a lot more money.

Imagine if one of our current players did that now? Imagine if Joey Barton, say, went to join Leicester because they offered him a load more money.

Remind me why Cesar is a mercenary but Green isn't? (and that's before we get to the likes of Hogan 'four years on the bench' Ephraim)

As opposed to Green who presumably spent 2012/13 standing on the bench, rather than sitting?

Cesar certainly got plenty of practice playing behind our team of last year....

Would be interesting to see if there are any stats on the number of saves he made vs the number of goals conceded. And the same for Green...

Reading through this thread it's blindingly obvious who gets their opinions from watching football and who decides what to think based on forums and the media

Green is as good as cesar imo and good enough for the top flight. Salad represents the mistakes that tony made early on as much as any player we signed. Matty has a valid point about team unity.

A reliable source from that part of the world claims just now that Flamengo are to offer Julio a 3 year deal.

To call a footballer a mercenary for collecting the pay that was agreed between him and the club is ridiculous. Then we are all mercenaries if we collect pay cheques!
