Unfortunately the answer to those questions give some pretty bad results same as for the rest of the wingers.
_ i honestly thought this season was juniors chance to build his confidence after the season in the prem. But he has been just as woeful. We need wingers who can create chances as well as have pace. its all well and good sticking up for a player now because we are promoted but does that mean we now forget what they contributed through the season.
Same with Zamora imo - blokes a legend for the goal but do we now forget how average and non existant hes been the last two years becuase he played well the last 6 games when his contract up??

Defenders and defending is so much better nowadays I'd doubt if even the late great George Best would be as effective as he was in his heyday
I must away now, I can no longer tarry
This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble

I wouldn't criticise Zamora tbh - hes been injured practically the whole season - he looked crippled earlier in the season wincing after every jump - looked very good since he has been fit - wish he'd got his treatment/op done sooner though

Zamoras had some dog sh*** game sto be fair but looked more like what I expected the last few games of this season. But at the same time we cant afford to renew his deal anywhere near to what it was.
With his injuries aswell hed be a risk unles it was a pay as you play incentive deal or a very low basic bumped up by playing time.

Zamora's been **** for the majority of his time here

Hoillet can be a tidy player he just needs to knuckle down. Worth keeping for sure

Harry was going to bring Hoilett off for Henry on 67 mins but debated it with Bond and changed his mind and took Hill off instead

He doesnt do anything with the ball and watched him all year giving the ball away needless amounts of times in attacking positions time and time again. What do you think will happen in the prem when we are coming up against better players?
Whats the point in having a winger who can go past players but doesnt cross the ball or pass when someones free - or blasts a ball 20 feet away from where its suppose to go.

Hoiletts in the team because phillips is injured as far as im concerned and was our only natural winger left at the club with pace. Traore been injured on and of and tecnically a left back.

There isnt a case for hoilett as far as im concerned. Again why have a winger who doesnt deliver balls, no wonder we are short of goals we need more creativity.

My comment about the money is not harsh - the lad is paid 50 k a week in the second tier of english football we should be expecting him to be pretty special
Not sure if he's on 50k but pretty sure he's not the highest paid player in the squad. And as i alluded to previously if we are basing how we should have performed on wages then we should have walked the league but there are other variables to consider. Fair enough he's on more money then what he deserves but so is the majority of our squad. He deserves more credit for his performances in the 3 playoff games, i mean zamora has been injured for 2 years, is probably on more money than hoilett and because he scored, people are calling for him to have a new contract. maybe hoilett is just unfortunate he only played a major role in the goal and didnt score it!

Im not disputing his involvement in the goal at wembley or winning the penalty against wigan. My assesment is on his overall game and what he's contributed this year. Hes a winger and doesnt create anything, his distribution is shocking and we often get countered when hes been in possession and lost the ball in a attacking position. This has happened all year.
We all know we need to create more chances, its nothing new and this bloke is one of the reasons we dont. Why play a winger who's got no end product? Im still waiting for anyone to justify what he brings to the team apart from pace? Even the cross for the goal it wasnt a good ball was it, the defender f***** up. Granted he showed determination in the corner however.
Hoilett doesnt create or score many opportunities and often leaves us in the sh***. Will cost us dearly in the prem if he starts but he wont. Phillips will be first choice and im sure harry will be bringing in 1 or two more wingers.

Re his end product: he had it when at blackburn at prem level. That's why we bought him. For whatever reasons we're still waiting for him to replicate that on a consistent basis.

Re saturdays goal: as said earlier see post 8 of this thread.

So because he had a half decent season two years ago he warrants a place in the team. Its been two years now with us and hes been a complete let down. Why do you want to keep playing someone who doesnt deliver and has no end product.

I dont know what your going on about about the cross, there were two people in the box he just didnt pick them out. Again fair play he got the ball over but it wasnt a quality pass pass by no means, more a hot and hope and he got a touch.

Slating a player. Lol what you on mate. Grow a pair, im just expressing a personal view on a player that I dont think should be near our first 11. Only at QPR we get muggy comments like this.

doesnt make me a bad fan because I dont rate a player? Because i'm frustrated that he cant deliver a end product. I take it you think everyone in our squad is class and we should keep all of them. Luke young, jonson ect?

We are premier league next year and am as excited as anyone. I want to see us progress now and not put up with over paid players who dont desrve to be on our books. My opinion on hoillet is an observation of his performances. Look at his stats and I think its more then fair to show concern over a player we have invested heavily in and doesnt deliver.

True but the rest of the squad have other jobs - if a winger/striker is not assisting or creating or scoring, what is he doing?

I thing Hoilett's best is better than the rest of the wingers - but between the 4 of them how many goals and assists did they deliver?
