Funny Beard Story from Yesterday

[West Acton]

Just back from the ground and Beard was being interviewed

He said at the end of yesterday everyone was heading out of Wembley and he was left alone with the trophy. He was travelling back to Loftus Road via the tube and was told he was not able to take the trophy with him. As he was the last one left he thought what should he do with it then thought players won it so it should go back with them on the coach

He then walked out to where a coach was sitting (he was still dazed from the days events) got on with his trophy in hand to give to the players only to look up and see all the derby players sitting on it ready to depart as he had got on the wrong coach

He said he got a few funny looks but they appeared to take the error well

No BAE. Tony praised everybody, ladies team, coaches, his backers were there, mittals, including us. A few mentions about 40k support thrown in so expect the big stadium probably. Special mention to Clint and the team spirit.

Clint made a point of O'Neil's sacrifice for the team and that he threw up in the dressing room and wrecked it a bit after the send off. BZ got the songs and plaudits as expected and signed shirts, didn't see other players doing it?

Paddocks, SAR and W or X was open. One guy sitting on his own in R block did a brief runner when spotted and sung at. Harry was given a sports car which was on the pitch 'HARRY' plate on it as a birthday present postponed from last years relegation. Great day for the kids (young and old)
