  • Clint Hill Captain and Tactician.

Story is that Harry wanted to take off Holliet, but Clint suggested he come off and Traore go LB because he- amd Holliett- would give the Rs an out when their backs were against the wall. I've never loved that fella more tonight than any time these past four years. I never thought that was possible. What a gem he is. And what an absolutely fantastic day. The best in in thirty eight years if watching the R's. Thanks to everyone.

Thats 2 games running he's done that. Could teach Harry a thing or two about tactics. And both decisions proved critical.

Would love to see Clint or Nelsen manage this club sometime in the near future.

I think that he did, he spoke to Dunne first, then went over towards the bench going ballistic, pointing and waving his arms this way and that. He put the team first, top captain, top man.

One of the best Centre backs we have had in a long time. I just wish he was 6 years younger. Still really pleased for him today, excellent captain.

Hill is a warrior and along with Derry would make a brilliant managerial duo one day for us....

They stated this as fact in the Football League Show. I was too high up to even see him talking.

If it is true, then great rom Clint....err not so great from harry, though I suppose he listened, which is good.

All he was doing (and with Wigan) was basically swapping himself for a better left back. Not rocket science.

                        p.s I love him.

Harry was about to sub Hoilett. If that had happened we obviously wouldn't have scored. So once again captain Clint's intervention saved the day and ensured victory. Harry, by his own admission, didn't see it happening.

Hoilett has to take massive credit for the goal - first to intercept it in our half, Bobby himself then won us the thrown in which lead to Junior's run and cross.

A word that can be used far too easily but, in my opinion, he is one. In the same way Bowles, Marsh, El Tel, Francis, Sir Les et al are talked about and remembered now, I firmly believe Clint Hill will still be talked about years from now.
