David Perkins is a prospect is he? At 31 years of age and spent his whole career playing for tin pot clubs! I agree we need to go down a different route but that is way off the mark!
Also you'd have to have two completely different lists of targets.
If we go up:
David Marshall (Cardiff)
Bardsley (Sunderland), Caulker (Cardiff), Taylor (Newcastle), Ridgewell (WBA), Bertrand (Chelsea)
Sinclair (Loan, City), Diame (West Ham), De Guzman (Swansea/Villarreal), Livermore (Spurs), Snodgrass (Norwich), Moses (Loan, Chelsea)
McCormack (Leeds) Carlton Cole (West Ham), Fraizer Campbell (Cardiff)
15 signings, which is a hell of a lot, however, very much needed as we'll be losing a similar amount of players. 13 of the 15 are UK born players, something that is imperative when in a battle to stay in the league. I'd then have a squad looking like:
GK: Green & Marshall
RB: Simpson & Bardsley
LB: Ridgewell & Bertrand
CB: Hill, Onuoha, Caulker & Taylor
Wingers: Phillips, Hoilett, Traore, Sinclair, Snodgrass, Moses.
CM: Barton, Faurlin, Diame, De Guzman, Livermore
Forwards: Austin, McCormack, Cole, Campbell
Comfortably stay up imo and a good strong UK based squad. Our wage bill would be at a far more average level.
Out: Cesar, Murphy, Dunne, Hughes, Young (Luke, remember him!) Ekotto, Morrison, Carroll, SWP, Jenas, Kranjcar, Diakite, Park, Granero, Mbia, Taarabt, Henry, Ephraim, Benayoun, O'Neil, Remy, Johnson, Keane, Doyle, Zamora, Dellatorre, Maiga.
Unbelievably 27 players!
If we fail to go up:
I actually really fear for us and can't really offer any potential signings as a lot will depend on clearing the above out!

West.... Morgan and Mancienne? hahaha seriously? If they were playing in the premier league for us next season we would concede 5, 6 goals min per game.
I know it's hard to find good centre halfs but surely you can do better than these 2?I played sunday league football today.
Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

All good names being mentioned (well most) but I can see this becoming a bit of a fantasy team. A bit like the past few transfer windows where all sorts of names were getting mentioned. But one thing is for sure, and 100% has to happen, and that is that our youth players need to be given a chance. I'm not asking for 90mins, just the odd 15-20mins substitute appearance.
If we were to stay down for a few seasons to rebuild, then that opportunity is clearly made for our youth.SIR LESLIE FERDINAND!!

Morgan would defo do a job if we never went up plus I think there are worse then him in the top flight. I would have no problems with Manciene in top flight

we'll need a few signings.. about 3/4 perm strikers. mccormack should be #1 target, go for the reading keeper mccarthy. hill and ned to be our CB's next season - neither have been shown up this season. ned has had injury problems but hills done a job where ever. retain traore, oneil(as cover for cm not a winger), hughes (cover at cb), move on hoilett, bobby, aj, jenas, dunne, green(all on big wages) and all the loans unless we can get morrison again(full season loan).
look to use petrasso, sutherland and harriman in the first team.Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

think some of us need to take a reality pill.... we will not be able to afford most of the players named and its gonna take some serious wheeling and dealing to get decent ones in.....we still have the basis of a decent first eleven but will need two to five newcomers blended with our youngsters....we must get rid of the deadwood ala bz/aj/swp/dunne/nico/bennyoun/bae/and all those abroad!....any money we do get for remy/tarabbt must be wisely invested and not on over the hill last pay day mercenaries!you know nothing john snow!!!!

To me no matter if we are in PL or Championship I would like to welcome
Mark Bunn currently Norwhich reserve keeper (would be cheaper option for Green which is reported on 50 k a week)
Grant Hanley Blackburn defender
Both players blessed with the Clint Hill determination and playing passionFrom Holland with love

Although apart from Carlton Cole I'd be delighted with every single signing on your list
What do you suggest? Having a strong 11 then a complete shite bench who are happy to pick up their wages?
I have 27 players leaving the club and 15 incoming, that's good business and a far more sustainable business model. I hear people keep saying about the massive turnover of players in and out, well the problem is, our recruitment is **** poor. Thankfully, the club have learnt (a little) and the majority of players brought in this season are on short term deals/loans (Far to many loans for me) so will be shipped out sharpish. One thing is certain though, it's going to be a massive overhaul once again this summer, hopefully we'll get it right and follow a similar model I've outlined.
