Football League rules state "Any shareholder or director must be removed if they are banned by a recognised sport's governing body."
It's really that simple.
All I can see on the FL website is that the fit and proper persons test is applied to Directors and Majority shareholders. Flav can still retain a minority shareholding

Why some feel the need to constantly want to boot the club they profess to support is absolutely beyond me :(
Agree 100 percent. How Flavio is treated on here is nothing more than sickening and perverted. I thought we supported the club to some extent.
Some folks wouldnt shut up before we are relegated and bankrupt as well!!

If Schumi had gone to them and said he'd cheated then im sure they'd have acted....

The real problem here is classifying F1 as a sport at all, it isn't, the human element in F1 isn't remotely relevant to the result, e.g. the all conquering Hamilton last year is given a car made from old beer crates this year and cannot remotely compete. It's a money making corporate jolly, with oversized scalextric cars required to provide the entertainment.

As Arsene Wenger recently correctly said of Eduardo's dive vs Celtic, if that incident is going to be reviewed and judged in isolation, then every tackle, free kick and decision taken in every football match everywhere should be simailrly reviewed.

Their is a difference between heat of the moment crashing into someone, like their is with a 2 footed challenge. Both are obviously wrong, and dangerous.
But making someone deliberatly crash to cheat the system and fix the race is the same as bribing match officials (Closest match between the 2 sports) and they should rightly get banned from the subsequent sport.

Look at the way Schumacher performed with an under powered Benetton running on an engine not much different to the one under the bonnet of a Ford Focus (and a similar performance in his first 2 years with Ferrari when by common consesus, Williams, McLaren and Jordan had superior cars). Same with Alonso for his 2 titles. Damon Hill leading the Hungarian Grand Prix start to within 100 yards of the finish in an Arrows for fec.ks sake! Loads of other examples too.
Within the top 3 or 4 teams the driver makes the difference - the exceptions of an all dominant car are pretty rare, but even then, still make exciting racing between the drivers (Prost/Senna in McLaren, Schumacher/Irvine in Ferrari, Hill/Villeneuve in Williams, Hamilton/Alonso in McLaren). I can only think of a really fallow season when a mediocre driver (Hakkinen) won in a really dominant McLaren.
