Hull's board pulled the plug on the transfer because the medical uncovered an old problem with Charlie's knee. Bet they feel pretty daft about that decision now!

Burnley had agreed a £4 million deal with Hull after rejecting several bids, but at the last minute Hull changed their mind after allegedly discovering a problem with Austin's KNEE.

First Burnley knew about it and we were annoyed as it could have had a bad affect on any future fee. Luckily for us, QPR apparently paid nearly the price we agreed with Hull.

At the time, some Burnley fans thought the Hull medical had thrown up a problem about a possible substance in Charlie's system. Just before the Hull medical, he had been in court for punching a punter in a Swindon nightclub (Bushwackers) toilet. This guy claimed he had tried to photograph CA snorting "something" in a cubicle, only to be punched.

Austin was convicted for common assault and fined.

Look at all the vultures on the board all of a sudden waiting for us to lose... If we win, we wont hear from them ever again!

To be fair they haven't done too badly with Long and Jelavic...

Can see Everon wanting Charlie, especially as it looks like Lukaku wont be with them, next season? as for Charlie going to Hull he failed their medical, they pulled the plug on the deal with Burnley, if I was them I'd tell them to F**k Off, hopefully he feels a little bit of loyalty to us what with the injury he's had

I used to lead the race for Charlie all the time.

But I got the counselling, N.A. did a terrific job and I've kicked the habit now
I need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.

Austin had a knee problem when he was a young boy, but this had never affected his playing ability. This is what showed up in the medical at Hull.
