If you buy into the fact Ravel has not really looked like himself the past two games, almost like he's suddenly lacking in a bit of confidence, the best thing to do imo is to start him Saturday together with Krancjar (equally creative and very experienced), Barton, Hoilett (he has earned it) and the dentists' dream O'Neill (who's playing now at a different level). Keep Tarore on bench til the second half (worried he might reinjure hamstring early and limit our options) and bring him on together with Yun and (if we need a goal) the suddenly zesty Zamora (or, if ahead, Yossi).

Niko will get run ragged by Derby in the middle of the park. If he plays/comes on, he needs to be in hole.

id bench him, didnt harry say that he played extra time with a hamstring issue?? might not be fully fit, im sure the croats would love it if he got crocked 3 weeks before the world cup

Yup. Not sure about further up the park, if we play one up top it has to be joined up otherwise you end up with an isolated front man facing the wrong way.... Morrison is a big call to link up but I think it could be his stage.

Yeah he had a tight hamstring. Personally, I think he'll start Niko or Rav in the hole, don't think Harry will be worrying about Croatia ;) Niko won't risk it mind.

Morrison will be in the hole. Yeah, I'm with you, I think Rav will be in his element (hopefully).

This game is worth a small fortune to Ravel -- play him and watch; he's ready. As for Niko, believe Harry starts him for same reasons as before: he's a big game player who's no stranger to this moment. Would save Traore to come on in the second half, together with Yun, to kick the entire team into a higher game. Derby may have trouble with this change of pace in the second half. Then, for kickers, bring in Bobby Z to team up with Charlie to give their defense even more to worry about. This means we start Hoilett Ravel and Niko together with Barton and either Benayoun or O'Neill.

If they are available to play
                      i'd go for
                      Green
Simpson Dunne Onouha Yun (or Traore or Hill)
                      Benayoun Barton Jenas Krancjar
                      Morrison
                      Austin
Murphy, Hill (Donaldson), Traore, O'Neil, Hoilett Zamora Doyle

Not the best of teams there Stan.. Jenas aint fit.

Knowing HR he will go for massive experience on this occasion..

He is better on the left rather than in a central position alongside Barton, as he showed against Wigan.
Barton with Jenas, O'Neil or Henry in the centre with Morrison behind Austin and either Krancjar, Traore, Hoilett or Benayoun on the flanks.

Best 11 should start. Assuming Phillips isn't fit these are best 11
Green, Yun, Simpson, Dunne, Onouha, Barton, Krancjar, Traore, Hoilett, Morrison and Austin

Need a balance of experience (Dunne, Green, Barton) but on a big pitch pace (most the others)
