He's got a knee injury, he's not dead

If I was playing and I heard 40k singing the name of my fellow professional for one minute it would spur me on even more.
Would much prefer to hear my own name being sung to spur me on! You say a player who would have undoubtedly starred for us this season, why dont we sing the name of the ones who have starred for us? if faurlin has to retire, then we can celebrate his career and what he has done for the club or if he returns to the first team we can dedicate songs to him. Pre-arranging a minutes applause for somebody who is injured (not dead or retired) is pretty cringeworthy!

Not sure a thread on this board would have really got a lot going anyway.

If so, please have a round of applause for me in the 43rd minute because that's how old I was last week. Cheers.

It's for 1 minute. What harm will it do? It's to show he's not forgotten and is appreciated by the fans. A further 89 minutes to support the rest of the squad.

Singing a song for him before the match starts would be a great way to show support. Once the match is going, we need to focus on the players who are on the pitch.

I think repeat the FA Cup Final minute's applause in the 56th minute for the Bradford Fire, difficult to organise though but if an effort was being made that would be the classy one todo imo.
Aside from that i think it is right all the noise made is connected for all the QPR football family whether they are well known players or old fans or young kids... rattle your cages for everybody.

whats the concensus of opinion guys think of the lift it would give him to know he's not been forgotten, if so pass it on to all Rs fans for Saturday
Sounds like a fine idea. Coincidentally some Derby fans are trying to organise a minutes applause on the 31 minute mark for a well known (locally) reporter on Radio Derby. Seems like he's riddled with cancer and only aged 31. Hopefully both sets of fans will respect these gestures.
