  • Zamora Disallowed Goal

Not seen it mentioned anywhere and its just come in to my head but that was some finish from the half way line from Bobby although the ref had blown his whistle. Bounced right before the line

who remembers micky robinsons long range lob at the scum in 86 milk cup quater final, probably one of the most beserk celebrations ever for a goal.

Only if that stood and he hit the target, would love to see it again.

Remember it well , was in the only decent stand they had back then (east I think) few qpr sprinkled here and there and the rest on the terrace , as seating was mixed back then there had been a couple of scuffles and when robinsons goal went in my dad went crazy on the stairs and I thought we were in big trouble but the r's dotted around the stand were all up and the scum were shell shocked , what a night ! Then the 2 legged semi final v Liverpool and we all know how that went , some great times back then but the way we folded in the final was devastating , that's the last time I was at a match at wembley so would be nice to make up for it this time round.

I do, and when I saw Zamora's effort that was the 1st thing that sprung to mind.

I was there for that one, and was left numb at the way the QPR team had 'frozen' at Wermbley.
Hopefully, the team next Saturday will not freeze, they will certainly have enough big game players on the pitch, who have either won play off finals, or other important games at Wembley and elsewhere. Players like Green - P/O winner with West Ham 2 seasons ago, Dunne, Barton, Krancjar. Even the likes of Hill, Simpson, Zamora Benayoun & O'Neil have enough experience to not freeze.
