Are you saying the article that states the above is wrong?

Since when can FIFA dictate what any clubs / countries do with their players......? I'm sure the countries could play hard ball if they need to meet up and try to insist a player joins when others do, which may cause an issue, but cant imagine fifa can decide on a rest period for all.

FIFA regulations state that any player named in a world cup squad cannot play any competitive game between 19th and 25th May as its a FIFA designated rest period. The only exception are those player involved in the CL final. Individual countries can choose not to follow this but as Yun is South Korea's only recognised LB (following injuries to two others) at the moment the South Korea FA are saying he cannot play as they cant afford for him to get injured. Club still negotiating. Croatia on the other hand have given permission for Kranjcar to play
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

It is reported in the Mail this morning that the Sth.Korean coach has ordered QPR to release Yun as it would set a precedent if he turned up late, and the coach states there will be no shift in his stance over the matter.

If that is the case surely the powers in English football should have worked the calandar around it.

I think that's why the playoffs are earlier this year for the championship.

AS mentioned, the countries can probably play hard ball because Fifa give them an angle to argue the case, but Fifia themselves can't insist he doesnt play, it's got f&%k all to do with them. IT's between Us and South Korea.

Tony should just offer them use of the best plane in his fleet for their World cup journey to Brazil and throw in some stewardesses who would do "extras" for the trip.....that should do it.

NO Worries he will play, QPR have already sent an official document, consent form of the delayed departure of Yun due to the play-off final.

Fair enough del read you previous post wrongly... It's still nonsense that a proposed rest period by FIFA can influence a match that means the difference between premiership football or championship football and £100 mil.

With your track record of prediction Yun must already be on the plane.....
