  • Am I the only one ?

That thinks ticket policy is fair ?
Bit fed up with the moaning.
2 per season ticket holder is reward for paying hundreds up front at start of season .
1 per member is reward for paying into a scheme for priority tickets .

Once you do the maths there may not be enough for 2 per member as only phase 1 and 2 are guaranteed so it's right that members have a chance of 2nd ticket on a first come first served basis then season ticket holders then members get the chance to buy any left over and as r's fans we can ensure that as few tickets as possible get into the tout hands as that's what happens with general sales , before anyone says you have to have client ref numbers I know for a fact touts have client ref numbers at most clubs as you only need to buy once and your registered.
The main point here is to ensure that tickets go to r's at face value.
I know people that have no membership etc that are waiting for general sale think it's not fair but qpr have put a scheme in place to try to keep the tickets in r's fans hands then they can be passed on to friends etc waiting for general sale.
In 82 I had to pay £25 each for terrace tickets with face value of a fiver as we only got 20k tickets and I did not have a season ticket and could not go and Q up , qpr are doing their best to stop us being ripped off by touts etc and are rewarding those that payed upfront , I know it may seem unfair on some but well done qpr , what was they supposed to do ?
I am a member and have had people who have nEver been to loftus road asking for tickets with all the excuses under the sun.

Can see both sides of the argument mate.

It must be frustrating to know that certain people who never go or who ordinarily would have no interest, have already got their ticket sorted for this game.

However, funny how this game or the one on Monday, seem to be games that so many could make when there have been another 46 which were not so much in demand.

I'm pretty certain that every other club would have the same issues though. It's highly unlikely to be peculiar to QPR.

Don't think anybody would argue with that, the problem for me is that 2 memberships has been enough for my lot all season as you can get 4 tickets per membership. Only became a problem Monday night and for the final when we can only buy one each, then another one each, then another one after that, meaning we've all got to sit separately. If we're allowed 4 in total, just let us buy what we're entitled to in one go and get it over with

Bang on the money pal, everyone moaning are we the worst club for that.If i didn't have a season ticket or membership and was unable to secure a ticket through a friend then I would have no hesitation in buying one from a tout, it's just the way it is.
I wonder what Arsenal do with 42,000 season ticket holders and only 25,000 seats for the cup final.
Please everyone stop moaning if you want to go to Wembley dig deep and pull up, it will be a while before we are back there again.

            They're mugs anyway....

The only change I would have made is to allow Season ticket holders to buy for members at the same time. That way families and friends can sit together.

Whatever method they chose would have upset someone though...

Will never keep everybody happy and will always be cases that seem unfair to certain individuals, but on the whole I think it's a fair system as the OP says. Those that have followed us round the country all season round should rightly have first dibs on 2 tickets.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

There would have been a lot of complaints if that was allowed to happen.

Bottom line is this and I'm not a member or a ST holder:

If you want a ticket bad enough you will get one.

Not all of them are ST holders or members though

I do not understand how they can suddenly justify a HUGE day out with expenses including travel, beer, food and tickets. Yet cant afford at membership for £50 which probably would have got their ticket sorted easily.

                      Makes no sense....

But you have to be to buy them. If a ST holder wants to get 1 for his pal that isn't a ST holder, then so be it.

Membership was £25 quid this year if bought before sheff wed game and it entitled you to 6 tickets per home game ! Was £30 quid after first game then a tenner from jan/feb , was £40 in prem if bought early and only guaranteed one ticket per game so if we go up you know what's coming !!!!! No

But it's not 2 tickets is it, it's 4 tickets each they can get. If it was 2 nobody would have an issue, of course they should have priority and loyalty rewarded, but 2 is sufficient. By allowing 4 each potentially, there will be far, far more people in the QPR end at Wembley that dont support QPR, than if it was 2 each and then general sale allowing all fans who havent got ST or membership this season for whatever reason to try and get one.

What im saying is i have seen quite a few saying they have travelled up and down the country buying tickets without actually being a member/st holder.

Not sure how they could put a system in place to reward that loyalty but something should be done there.
