Thought his contract was up this summer anyway, so wtf people are debating i don't know, as said above he doesn't want to be with us and doesn't have to be

On 31 August 2012 Mbia signed a two-year deal with English Premier League club Queens Park Rangers, transferring from Marseille for an undisclosed fee, with Joey Barton heading in the opposite direction on a season-long loan.[3

Dave....it's not really about wether or not he comes back to us...it's more about a very talented footballer with an incredible CV is deemed not good enough for us.

And we wonder why other fans and clubs think we're arrogant *****s?

I actually backed Mbia most of the time he was here johnny, because of the effort he put in.....but there's no way he played to the same level for us as he has now for Seville.
So tbh all our fans can judge him on was what they saw from him at Loftus Road

Did anyone? Most of the time it looked like none of them had met each other, let alone trained together. Nobody can really be expected to shine like that.

Hardly surprising considering the gulf in class between his respective team-mates, not to mention our toxic team-spirit at the time. Both these factors would affect any players form but most fans rarely take these wider perspectives into account before judging a player, especially if they happen to be French/African as well, in the case of one or two on here (no names mentioned )

yeah there's definitely a big bias on here towards blood and guts englishmen over fancy dan foreign types

look at how taarabt, mbia and cesar are spoken of here, compared to, say, barton, green and ephraim.

In Wikipedia it says: "On 31 August 2012 Mbia signed a two-year deal with English Premier League club Queens Park Rangers". So If true he is free agent by the end of this season.

to be fair, it's quite easy to get the impression that it's mbia that thinks that he's too good for us (the "i thought it was in scotland", the sloppy performances, the "hey, joey want to swap" tweets and even the ridiculous line in the article at the start of this thread where he goes on about how he'd have had to agree to the contract extension that we didn't even offer him (with the heavy inference that he wouldn't have done, if we had)) - i think this attitude is one of the main reasons why he isn't actually good enough for us...

And a fair comment from you also...i suppose he would argue he was left totally exposed trying to do everything....and anyway last season got a point where alot of the players gave up imo

What, exactly, has he done to deserve such hatred?

People surely aren't jumping on a bandwagon encouraged by Redknapp and based on a few tweets, are they?
I dont quite get it either.

I have read comments on here like 'he is a pub player' useless, didn't try didn't care' and those are way off the mark IMO.

He was sometimes clumsy, and guilty of play acting, but he was one of the few who did try, and did look as if he was trying and cared.
He is playing in a good, well organised side and is doing rather well and has a winners medal to show for it. He has also scored 4 goals for Sevilla and took an excellent penalty last night.
Had he played this season for QPR he would have been a lot better than Henry, Jenas, O'Neil or Carroll alongside Barton.

Perhaps that's because Sevilla have a settled and well organsied side, something that QPR didn’t have last season.
Had he been selected to play as a holding CM week in week out perhaps we would have seen what they have in Spain and at Marseille.
