  • Half time in the ground........

they allowed people to stand outside of the stadium to have their beers and have a fag. Fair play to them.

But the ground is dull as anything. Literally right next to their old ground.

Oh well, we seem to do ok in new grounds.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

They used common sense no harm, in letting people out for a ciggie and I thought the stewarding was very good yesterday.

Stark contrast to some of the scences at loftus Road with stewards surrounding you if you have a ciggie outside the loft.

Stewards at Rangers seem to have given up that game of theirs though recently.

Hammersmith you must be having a laugh fella! The ground is just what rangers could do with generates a great atmos even with a below capacity crowd. i thought the ground and all the staff old bill included were a credit to Cardiff. I dont like you but well done mr Ridsdale!

Have to say the stewards were excellent and generally the few Cardiff fans I spoke to were Ok.
Opinions are like A******s, everyone has one, but nobody wants to see the other guy's.

I think we're no differant to most fans tbo, as long as away fans arn't looking for it theres no real problem, of course there's always the tanked up numpty you have to look out for. There are exeptions to this, Swansea is the obvious flash point plus one or two others but the o.b. tend to have these "locked down" anyway....I know some of you may not agree with me on this but it's just my opinion. With our reputation if I were an away fan I think I would feel a little nervy going to Cardiff. nice to read some of your comments above guys

You are spot on Bluebird, being a Cardiff based R i have lots of Cardiff supporting friends and they are all of the opinion that the new ground will slowly change the attitude of the place. EVERY club has they're share of ***** supporters it was just that bit more obvious in a cauldron like Ninian Park

yeah Ninian could be a little hostile at times, I'll miss the old place for that for sure, but the CCS is feeling a bit more like home now

Yep no complaints Benny, your boys did us, fair play, maybe you can return the compliment next April, who knows we might both be chasing somthing come the end of the season. If it's just us though could you have a word with young Wayne, and see if he can let us have the ball for a bit. pleeeeease

I walked back to Cardiff Central amongst the Cardiff fans.I was wearing colours and no one took a blind bit of notice. I was not looking for trouble and none was forthcoming. That just completed what was, a terrific away day.

Gotta say, fairplay to bluebird for sticking with this site despite the loss.

To admit we were the better side (despite the first one being offside) takes an awful lot of humility.

I'm sure most fans wouldn't have bothered coming onto a QPR site after losing :boss:
