People can say we should've bought memberships earlier etc, which obviously if we knew how stupid the club would be then we would've done, but that's not the point. Others say about rewarding loyalty... that doesnt really tell the picture though does it. How can a new fan who paid a £10 reduced membership fee this year be classed as more loyal than thousands who've followed QPR for years all over the place and for whatever reason dont have a memebrship or ST this season??

Before kids me and the wife had ST's and travelled to the likes of Blackpool, Sheffield, Cardiff, Oldham, Bournemouth, Plymouth, Swindon etc etc etc during the hard times and put money in buckets to help keep the club going before we had rich backers.....

It still grates on me that i was too young and left at home while older brothers were taken to the Cup final in 82, and then we couldnt get tickets in 86. I felt the pain in the Millenium Stadium in the 120th minute in 2003 like the rest of us, then had to endure that journey home thinking what might have been. Then a year later the elation of 9k at Hillsborough when we went up, and the banter with Bristol Rovers fans on the journey back after they loved the fact prevented City going up that day.....

The point is there are plenty of loyal fans of this great club who dont have ST or membership for whatever reason, finances, availability, location etc, it doesnt make them less of a fan. The club should've thought about this a lot more than they have. They could've still given guarantees to ST and members, and rewarded their investment and loyalty, but at the same time, give others a better chance of securing a ticket.
Del, just for the record, I wasn't suggesting you thought you had a right, just pointing out an observation based on how some on here have been contacted by "long lost friends", chancing their arm. Nobody tried it on with me as I don't have any friends.

I'm not sure there is a way to keep everyone happy, because once you start allowing non-st holders or non-members access to tickets, there really is no telling where they might end up. Although I suspect that there are those that will be both ripped off and doing the ripping off.

The whole thing is a bl* *dy joke. In our house we have one ST and three memberships. I can get two today and then three on Friday, and so on, but we have to sit seperately and maybe pay a lot more for the tickets on Friday if our 11000 ST holders buy up the 5-6K cheaper tickets and the 8K mid price tickets.

It should have been 2 per ST holders (for example ST holder goes every week, wife puts up with it but wants to be there for the big game!) and one per member to buy AT THE SAME TIME, so everyone can sit together. If as stated all ST and members are GUARANTEED a ticket why could this not have been the arrangement?
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

Probably worth checking with the club. Although not clear, i would be surprised if ST holders cant still buy their tickets in phase 2, at the same time as members. I think they may have just worded it as such to highlight the ST exclusivity in phase 1, and then members can buy from phase 2.....

In a normal set up, ST holders would be able to buy from the first to the last moment, so doubt its different now, just worded badly.

tnh I think alot of us are all just panicking atm for the right and obvious reasons. This doesnt happen to us very often and the way the phases have been planned out is just beyond stupid. But tbh I honestly think there will still be a fair few thousand that go on general sale and people will be able to buy 4, 5 tickets at a time for them and there family.

I wonder how long it will be before the first "what a poor show, can't sell our allocation, small time Club, 35k capacity you're 'avin a larf" thread appears

              The logic is poor.

It's fine rewarding ST holders and members...but the very logic applied is contradictory. If a member buys an additional bunch of tickets - who are they for? They clearly are not for other members or ST holders as they already have access. So they are likely to be for people that are mates and regardless of what people here may think - a load of them will not be QPR fans guaranteed, or girlfriends who have no interests in going normally - or to sell on for profit. I am not suggesting people here will do that, but it will happen.

QPR has an up-to-date database of everyone who has purchased tickets. A lot of fans didn't bother (maybe stupidly) to get membership this year as matches go on general sale. But many of them will miss out for people that have never even been to LR.

Maybe I'm being selfish but I want one question asnwered and right now it seems that no-one knows the answer.

                Q. I'm a member - can I purchase 2 tickets during phase 3 on one membership client ref (if I don't buy a ticket during phase 2)??

Tried phoning the box office - when it isn't engaged I'm told that all customer service agents are busy and the line is cut-off

Tried emailing but had nothing back for hours

                Seems a simple question...

Not sure, but maybe see if there is another member on here who you can link up with. One of you buy 2 tickets using the others ref number on the first day, with the other doing the same the next day.

If successful, you will have two sets of tickets where two people will definitely be next to each other.

You may need some sort of "Gentleman's Agreement" though, that in the event of not managing to get more on the second day, you will simply have to sit next to each other.

As mentioned previously, someone on the forum yesterday said they'd been told if they don't purchase one in phase 2, they could get two tickets on their client ref in phase 3, ie use their initial allocation of 2. That said, just persist and check with the club. They are obviously swamped now, but by the time you'd be eligible to buy, hopefully details such as this will be clarified anyway.

Rewards loyalty for both st holders and members. What loyalty is the club rewarding if say the person the st holder buys the extra ticket for has not been to a game all season?

Especially after already paying out for the annual renewal of QPR player, to then discover they put pretty much everything on youtube this season anyway!

Anyway, like I said, with nearly 40k tickets they shouldn't be f%^king it up!
Then it's good the club are rewarding the fans who do go to games

If you don't go to many or any games then why do you deserve a ticket head of ST & Members !

The fact is you;re panicking about nothing the tickets will go on general sale and anyone who wants one will get one

You may well be right, but I'm not so sure now.

Obviously, there are ST holders and Members that are only going to be buying the one for themselves. But from what I can gather and have been asked about by others, it would seem that there are an awful lot of requests flying about from people who are attempting to buy as many tickets as possible for "Friends".

One thing is for sure though. If all those that can make it Saturday week could make it on a more regular basis, then a 45,000 seat stadium would be the minimum requirement.
