Also to make a club from within a neighbouring area NOT take a direct route to the game is fc king crazy.
That would be a certain Mr Dan Rutherford and friends:

...but like I said earlier, nothing to stop folk from also doing the preferred traditional route as others in this thread are planning on.

Wembley High Rd should have been given to QPRas most of us will be coming that way from the Bush etc.
I won't do the full route, I'll be coming from queens park (area). What this other route? Where do I see a map? I'm very keen to go up with a crowd.

One week until our first ever Championship Play Off Final.

One week until our first ever game at the new Wembley stadium.

One week until a possible return to the Premier League.

On the very day that it looks as if our new training ground is now almost a certainty.

And some people are complaining about a route? The club jumping on a bandwagon?

Complaining that it isn't the route that they had spoken about, which was shorter? I wonder if they actually "did something", such as speak to the club, which is exactly what Dan Rutherford did. Perhaps if they had, the sour grapes could have been kept hidden and they would have complimented the club on the very nice gesture of putting up this particular fan's request on the official site. Attempting to bring everyone together during such a momentous week.

Blimey, I've not been averse to criticising certain things, but this, following on from two battling and committed performances over the last week, is quite astonishing.

Have a couple of bottles on me fellas !

Be our 12th man and #WalkToWembley with your fellow QPR supporters ahead of Championship Play-Off Final against Derby County ...

QPR are back at Wembley next Saturday for the first time in 28 years, as Harry Redknapp's side go head-to-head with Derby County in the Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Final with a place in the Premier League at stake!

On our previous three visits to the home of English football in 1967, 1982 and 1986, thousands of you - the fans - have walked to Wembley and we, as a club, are encouraging you to do the same this time around.

R's fan Dan Rutherford and friends have come up with a route that is 5.6 miles long, starting at Loftus Road at 10.00am and arriving at Wembley at approximately midday, giving supporters plenty of time to enjoy the pre-match atmosphere around the stadium.

To register your interest in the #WalkToWembley, click HERE to join our official Facebook event group.

Speaking to www.qpr.co.uk, Rutherford said: “This is a great opportunity for QPR fans to embrace something which is unique to our club.

“This will be the fourth time in our history that we’ve walked to Wembley as one and we’d encourage as many supporters as possible to not only take part, but also to embrace the nostalgia and paraphernalia of past walks.”

QPR in the Community Trust – in their 20th year – will be represented on the ‘WalkToWembley, as well as representatives from the Story of QPR who will be filming on the day, so keep an eye out for their bucket collectors throughout the walk.

Be our 12th man on the road to Wembley …

*Supporters should note, the QPR Superstore will be open for business on the morning of the final (from 9.00am-12.00pm) for you to purchase all your essential Play-Off merchandise

It may take 2 hours for some that want to walk without any stop-offs on the way, with there bottle of Evian Water on the way.
But realistically, you need to allow longer for the Pub Crawl on the way, and it could be f*ckin hot as well.
Leave at 10 and arrive at 2, would be more realistic.

Yea I'll be coming from Queen's Park too. I'm thinking I'll just go up the Harrow Rd. Should be able to meet up with the main contigent by the junction of Scrubs Lane.

Whilst coffin carriers hold aloft the oppositions burial it could be the sort off event which goes down in folklore...we just need to get there!

in hindsight(easy i know) i would have taken a day out at wembley and relegation. at the time i never would have thought we would wait so long to get there again. if we go down i hope we go back up via the playoffs-thousands would still do the walk.

                      And now's our chance!

                          well unlike the previous

well unlike the previous march that i commanded this is diffiicult

we then had a march that knowbody seemed to want to get involved in

but nmow everybody wants to lead this march and as i rarely go now it seems only fair that a more dedicated fan leads

WE ALL KNOW WHO THAT FAN IS BUT HE DONT LIKE HIS NAME MENTIONED ON THE WEB

so that leaves me with approx 300 that are meeting at the torch pub for a serious sing song
we should be there at about 1300 hours

so im not on the march this year will see some of you at the torch

                              Advice needed for wembley walk

Lads the fight for premiership is about to commence just need some advice.

My cousin is electric wheelchair bound and he wants to do the wembley walk from the bush. Just wondering he can't really drive on lots of uneven ground like curbs and bumpy pavement? Will there be like a police escort for us with the roads blocked off then he can drive on the road

                              What's your advice lads?

Great that your cousin is up for the trek; not sure that there will be roads blocked off but expect some kind of escort esp the closer we get to Wembley.
Anyone know what time the walk begins?
