Totally agree about O'Neil. MOTM for me. We look alot more solid with him and barton in the middle. Ned had another good game which was needed as Dunne seems off the pace at the moment. Also like to give a mention to hoilett, who i thought did his defensive duties well and seemed quite up for it (which is a rarity)

Funny how players perform better when not played out of position, isn't it?

            Monday's optimal lineup:
            Green
            Simpson Onouha Hill Yun
            Hoilett Barton Oneill Traore
            Austin

            Subs:
            Murphy
Hughes or Dunne (we only need one reserve back)
            Carroll
            Benayoun
            Henry
Zamora (in case we go to penalty kicks)
            Doyle

I don't understand it, when we got him I thought that was the reason he was brought in, to play CM/DM, all very strange but let's hope it works out for the best moving forward, we just need to switch the wingers and it's job done!

I hope not, I hope gets the same bus as Benny.

Another warrior-like performance tonight, barring his nightmare pass back to Green...

Ouch: A tooth flies from the mouth of Gary O'Neil after a challenge from Shaun Maloney

Toothless: Maloney (left) charges into O'Neil during the first half at Loftus Road

The tooth hurts: O'Neil spent several minutes on the groun as QPR medics assessed the problem

Soldiering on: O'Neil managed to play on despite losing a tooth after the collision

Holy molar: The 30-year-old midfielder played on with a piece of cotton wool in his mouth

Agreed albeit not the time for that.

                            Tooth. Ouch!!

him and hoillet technically were poor but cant fault either for the effort - oneil certainly put a hell of a shift in and disrupted a lot of wigans possession game...you need players like oneil in certain games and he played his part in the win.
