Sorry if there's another thread about this, but I've heard different reports concerning the away goal importance in the playoffs and want to make it clear. What are the rules, is it the total goal difference over two legs that counts OR are the away goals of more importance a'la champions league?

Away goals dont count. It's extra time and then penalties.
Although I would rather they do away with penalties and use the head to head results during the season in the 1st instance, and if level then have the shoot-out. In this case. QPR would be going through if the scores wherelevel after extra time. I believe this would make for a more attacking game plan from Wigan (and could also help QPR to counter attack).
