But Uwe Rosler has done a "remarkable job".

Just how "remarkable" a job is getting the best squad in the league to finish 5th? It's this constant nonsense he comes out with that irritates me. And I'm sure I'm not alone.
Like Brian clough, 1 of the best managers never to have the england job. How do I know this because I read the sun newspaper oh and Kev said so!
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Ive never ever ever said that and never ever ever would, but unlike you i only coat off the manager or players when they are doing shite, not when we have been top four all season and still have a one in four chance of going to the premiership. I actually really like qpr, which i doubt some on here like yourself do if im totally honest.

Harry is a tactical genius though and totally under valued. It's fine you have me brain washed. Course we need to get behind the team however we all know Harry doesn't know his best 11, but we need to know they're good enough!

But, despite wanting the best for Rangers, the fans, the players and the manager, do those sort of contradictions not irritate you too?

When we do well im happy. Its why i go, to hopefully see us do well and make me happy. And the thought of tomorrow and monday is making me happier than ive been in years, and then if we get to wembley i might even self combust with joy.

But that doesn't answer the question.

I will try - but knowing your contempt for the manager, I doubt you will agree with my interpretation

He thought they were the best squad in the league before the season started and would get promoted - sadly for them, Coyle was turd and when he was sacked they were 14th in the league and plenty of points away from where they finished. Ergo, Rosler has done a fantastic job since taking over (including of course another good cup run and the best thing of all, getting knocked out of Europe in his first game) = can't really argue with that myself

A sensible interpretation at least. Obviously been in higher education than Kevin.

I think my perceived contempt for our manager is precisely because of things like this. I would like nothing better than to see him hobbling around with the play off trophy at Wembley in a couple of weeks. For me though, it has been one excuse after another. In my opinion, HE had the best squad and it was HIS poor management of it, poor team selections, poor signings etc., that prevented us going up automatically, let alone Champions. This year, the Championship was very poor. Hard work, not giving up and doing it for the manager that they respect is what saw Leicester and Burnley promoted. Poor performances from players who seem bereft of leadership from what appears to be a pretty boring and uninspiring management team hasn't helped at all.

I am desperately hoping, no doubt along with everyone else, that he finally produces some decent football and performances now, when it really matters. So I will just have to continue getting behind them all publicly, whilst rueing what might have been.

We should have bossed this league, it's VERY poor this year and we had the resources, no matter what anyone says. U telling me we could;'t find a better alternative to Karl Henry for the same wages?

We've NEVER played nice football under Redknapp, except for when McClaren was running the show. This is inexcusable for me as this season should have been about really building a team that we can step up when/if we reach the Prem, not losing against Doncaster and Swindon.

If he stays we'll get relegated from the Prem and won';t be in a better place than we are now. He hasn't taken the club forward at all, regardless of what the media tells you. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Got to say though, the blame is purely Arry's, some of the staff, coaches etc. must be held accountable too

What he was saying without drawing pictures was Wigan had the best squad at the start of season fell out of the picture then Rosler came and did remarkable job to get them back in the mix also a fantastic cup run all of which I agree with

Really can`t agree with the original post.
We are going into 2 hopefully 3 massive games so what is the point of stirring this right now?
I was a Harry fan when he took over (thought he would keep us up playing attacking football).
He done an OK job of getting rid of players this season (most are only on loan though) and not too bad a job of bringing in (just not enough youth and energy)(too many on loan).
But we wave been poor this season, so the Harry outers are more than justified.
If we go up I think we should stick with him (he deserves it for getting us there).
The thing is no matter what division we are in next season I think we will pretty much need another new team (can only see 3-5 regulars staying) and that will be 3rd time in 3 years, which makes this season and the whole rebuilding idea a complete joke.
In the end I`m a fan of the club not the manager (any more) I am not against Harry and would be more than happy for him to stay if he had us playing decent attacking attractive football.
But like I said at the start the play-offs are what matter, lets see how they go and ask your question after they are over.
                              YOU RRRRRRRRRRR`s

I appreciate your view on the manager's performance even if I view it very slightly differently. I think the major issue which has been grossly under played is the nature and timing of injuries to key players. I agree he doesn't know his best team but that's hardly surprising given the number of times he has had a fully fit squad to select from.

Anyway, what I find disappointing is the total lack of flair from a side managed by him given the style of football he played at Spurs. I cannot believe he changed his ethos of fast attacking football with quality wide men just because Phillips was unavailable so much as he was. It is possible, in fact probable, that he has been away from the Championship for too long - his season there with Pompey went well of course but things have changed at this level so much now. His "vision" of possession football and nicking a goal worked for a while until teams worked out how to stop it and he doesn't seem to have found another method and, for that, I am as mad as the next man. He has however managed to get a half fit bunch of cripples into a position where we can still go up.
Now here's my problem - when we went down Harry said judge me on my own team, not the bunch of mugs I inherited (ok, so I paraphrase a little). I find it hard to do that because most of his decent acquisitions have missed lengthy periods of the season (Charlie, Phillips and Simpson being prime examples) as have some of those he kept and wanted to use, such as Armband, Hoilett, Neddy, AJ & BZ. Bobby Z is a perfect example as he has shown some proper desire since he came back fitter than ever towards the end of the season.
As much as it's not easy to judge on the above basis, he has, at the moment still got a good shot at getting us promoted back to the Prem at the first attempt - something that has (I believe) only been achieved once in the history of the PL? If we go up, then he has achieved, albeit without flowing attacking football, and his "theory" that you have to play ugly to get promoted is plausible. Again, if promotion is achieved, it will be (arguably) a big tick due to the number of crucial long term injuries.
If however we miss out my judgment will probably be that he failed and didn't make the most of the assets he had.
On a final note, whilst I understand your point of view, I look at the pedigree of the teams in the Championship this year and don't agree that it has been a poor league. All of the members of this season's Championship have been members of the EPL since its inception, bar 6 and one of those (Millwall) have been to a cup final in very recent times
