Exactly! 7,300 at Hillsbrough wasn't it? A 3-1 win, would take that Friday!
8,700 inside Hillsborough (the only time the seats in corners have been used since they dropped out of the PL - they don't even give those seats to Sheff United) plus 5,900 at LR for the beam back.
Not sure why the Club didn't start selling tickets on Sunday, rather than wait until Monday.
We'd have been 24 hours ahead of where we are now.
I reckon the initial 3.3k would have been sold, and we'd be shifting the next 1,500 by now.
And for what it's worth I agree with the Loyalty points system.
It rewards those who invest the most time, effort & money in following the team.
There is, however, perhaps a case to suggest the 350+ and then 300+ figures were too high initially.
The Sunday sales would have meant opening the box office to personal callers and probably paying ticketmaster a fortune for Sunday work. Think they've got it right myself. Plenty of time to get tickets for those who want to go.

Never 8,700 at Hillsbrough. Wasn't above 7,500 for sure.
As well for Wigan tickets i believe you have to go down to the box office, you can't buy them on the old e-ticketing yolk. People just need a chance. Will be sold out come thursday I'm sure!

Definitely was - Exact figure direct quote from SWFC overlord Sir Dave Richards the day after the game. Biggest away following they've ever had in the all seater era. Every seat sold and tons of Rangers on the Kop and the Main Stand.

So they had to pay box office staff & Ticketmaster on a Bank Holiday instead, so no difference. I doubt contracts for Ticketmaster staff include double time payments for working Sunday's anyway. If Supermarkets don't, I doubt smaller companies with casual staff do either.
And there was never 5,700 at LR for Sheff Wed. Only the Loft end was open, Lower tier 3/4 full and Upper tier only 2/3 full as I recall. I think Whole Loft (Upper & Lower) holds a total of 5,079

Official figures. 7,360 Rangers at the game and 5,020 at beamback.

They had no option but to sell tickets yesterday. Sunday was a different situation completely. As I said, plenty of time to buy a ticket and I'm positive we'll take the full 4,800 allocation. No one can moan they didn't have time to buy a ticket, that's for sure!

I doubt they do either but you can guarantee that Ticketmaster would have stung the club for being available to order tickets if that wasn't the norm.....
