  • Who do we want in the semi's and why?

    For me Brighton.

What a place for a booze up on a Friday plus its close to London and they are very beatable ( Even though we failed to do so this season!)

    And you?

Brighton would be my last choice. Ground is woeful to get to & from.

Prefence would be Wigan, not least because it's a cracking night out and a big group of us will be headed up for the night!

Reading wouldn't be too bad, more for football reasons, as I think Wigan are a better side than them.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Rather Wigan over 2 legs then a one off game at their 2nd home.

I am thinking Wigan mainly because my thought process is perhaps the 2 games will be a couple of games too far for them, their form has certainly dipped of late.....if you had asked me 2 weeks ago I would have said Brighton, as with Austin we would have beaten them a few weeks back.

Very fair point and I totally agree.

I still think you have to make wigan fav's purely because they seem to excel in this type of format of games.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

As long as we avoid a loss away we should have enough to beat Wigan or Brighton. Reading are the ones I'm not confident in us playing and I've got a feeling they will finish 5th.

Not sure I want brighton. The home game where we drew 0-0 was the worst football match I had seen in 10 years.

Wigan! We beat them at LR and should have won there. Agreed we wouldn't want them in a one off at Wembley. Anyway if Blackpool can beat them so should we.

Reading are one of only two (the other being Leicester!) to beat us at LR this season so not them (and too many Reading mates if they win)

Brighton only if we have to!

We did get a point at Wigan (0-0)

For footballing reasons it HAS to be Wigan.. got a great record against them in general and this season taking 4 points off them, more than the other teams.

Not to mention their form since we beat them hasn't been great.

I'd like to play Brighton for footballing reasons but can't see them making the playoffs.

Next best would be Wigan. They've played a lot of football this year and I think it's starting to catch up with them. Also, they have failed to score against us this season and are the team in the worst form going into the playoffs. Also, it's not far from my house!

Lastly would be Reading. I hate that club and they always seem to get the better of us when needed. Ripped us apart at Loftus Road and would go into the game with high confidence.

So that's my order and I fear it will be Reading who we play. Hopefully Wigan hammer Birmingham tonight to boost their goal difference as I feel Blackburn will beat Wigan on Saturday and Reading will beat Burnley.

Wigan getting beat tonight would be a great result too as I'd love them to miss out completely.

Reading for me. The easiest to travel to on a friday night and we have a good record at their place. Plus we can beat them at the loft.

Ultimately we're probably going to have to face Derby, providing we get through the semis of course and they do the same. There, I've said it.

the fact that Wigan are the only team up there who havent beaten us this season and thats the main reason theyd be my choice. also they currently have scored the same amount of goals as us this season unlike the others who have scored a lot more. in my eyes if we lose the first leg it wont be by an unreachable scoreline. however i still believe that if we score the first goal of the whole tie well go through the final. really think loftus road will win it for us
i supported qpr in the glory days when chris kiwomya and michael ngonge played up front
