My housemate at uni is a saints fan and has been saying for a while that Potch wants to get rid of him and sign a more high profile striker in the summer. I'd do anything to have him up front for us! can't imagine him being too expensive either

Would be a brilliant signing to partner chaz when we win the play off final. Send doyle, maiaga and keane straight back, cash in on remy and adel, then sign lambert and morrison along with a quality midfielder and a dunne replacement and we would stay up and be mid table imho. Honestly think that would be enough, spend about 30 to 40 million, which is not a lot when you think of the remy and adel fees coming in.Last edited by Kevin Mcleod; 28-04-2014, 10:57 AM.

Now that leicster are up i think they have a player id take a serious look at should we NOT gain promotion in chris wood. Won't get much game time in the prem and would be a decent fit for us in the championship like i say if we don't go up. If we do get promoted as much as i think lambert is a good player id steer clear based on his age. We would only get one maybe two decent seasons out of him and we as a club have to get out of buying aging players who are past their peak imho. There must be better options out there. Vydra at west brom is a class act and the right side of 30. We just need to scout far better than we have in the past. Younger players will give us at least a fighting chance of moulding a squad for the long term as opposed to the constant quick fix mentality that we hae employed in recent years
