This is a young lad with a bright future ahead of him if handled right and he applies himself like a pro should. Not saying he will be a world beater but can deffo have a very decent career.Ooh northern lads love gravy

That description could very well be for Ravel. And I know which I'd rather have.
I did rate Wickham at Ipswich, I think he went for big money (£8m ?) far too young and it went to his head a little. He did have a purple patch on arriving at Sheff Wed (8 in 10 or 11 games ?) much like Agyemang did for us a few seasons back.
Makes you wonder why Sheff Wed didn't keep him for longer, after all Sun'lan shipped him off to Leeds pretty smartish.
In hindsight, I'd have preferred him to either Maiga or Keane. But that assumes he would have come to us.

It doesn't mean he would have done well If he had joined us. It depends on team tactics. Sunderland are in a position to bring him back as they need to attack more to survive. You never know, Will Keane could have done better with another team (funny I know). Did Ravel Morrison do well with Birmingham? Did Andros Townsend do well before joining us on loan last season?QPR fan since1987
