  • we as a club, are not ready for the prem still imo.

From top to bottom I feel we are not in a position if we go up to sustain our stay. Ground isn't suited and new one is years away. Training facilities is in same position. The manager squad etc hasn't been right for years. The youth set up was destroyed but moves afloat to repair damage but again no quick fix. I fear we could end up a yoyo club and end up on road to financial ruin.
IMO its time to rebuild whole club. New ground ,training check.I believe we should start the manager playing staff from scratch. Keep our few gems and get rid rest. A bit out there but I went mind giving the manager job to say Gary Neville and Ryan giggs. Let them bring your n some young talent and build the club they was brought up.

Agree with Lyme, and you're right we are not ready. We need to set a budget for wages as well.

We can attract the best young players from the lower leagues, we don't have to over pay in wages.

I agree we are probably not ready to return to the EPL but even if it is a brief stay the financial reward would certainly help the club out as long as we keep Mark Hughes away from pissing money away!

good point, if we don't go over the top on wages we could knock a fair few million of our debt

This. It must happen next season if it doesn't this year. The amount of debt the club is in requires that we get back to where the money is, then we need to start making some serious decisions on how we move forward.

FFP sanctions may end up forcing our hand on how we build a team from there on in.

Pearson said yesterday he wont be buying any players and will give the team who got them their a chance. Will probably be sacked by christmas after they have lost near on every game mate.

Obviously I want promotion and the money that comes with it because that's how modern football is structured but I enjoy my weekends much more when we actually have a chance in every match we play in The Championship, that is far from reality in The Premiership! The Championship changes 25% of it's teams from year to year so it will be a much different league next season, add in the fact that there will be many London Derbies and it's not all that bad being there! See what I did there, I am setting myself up for the inevitable play off failure!
