The Hawkwind free concert took place on 22nd August 1970 on Wormwood Scrubs Common (Scrubs Lane side) and was a strange mix of hairy folk from Ladbroke Grove and local skinheads. Like Mr. Matlock, I was also in attendance...

Thanks for that, you have a good memory (or computer) my friend! The show seemed to leave lasting memories with Glen as well, he was quite inspired!
3 good songs on that one "Can't Stand Me Now", "What Became of the Likely Lads" and "What Katie Did" - the rest are the ramblings of a man deep in throes of a habit who just didn't care about quality control. Very, very similar to The Stone Roses second album.

Disagree, not as good as up the bracket but it ebbs and flows nicely. Now The Roses "second coming" was indeed patchy, still each to their own comrade
From the Hills of Kerry
To the streets of Free Derry
Libs second album is a corker IMO. The ones already mentioned plus last post on the bugle, music when the lights go out,the ha ha wall, albeit macht frei . One of my fav albums of all time.
